It's not enough?

So, after leaving leaving school, I started work. I work 8-12 hours a day 6 days a week. I love what I do and I'm glad I left school when i did (I found my school years quite a difficult time due to my ADHD.)

Anyway what I'd like to discuss, is the feeling that "it's not enough".
So after working long hours, I get home and all I want to do is work, I try to find new business ideas, new ways to make money basically anything that leads to what I think of as 'success'. I believe a certain amount of this is related to my adhd, but I still wonder when will it be enough? If I made enough money that I could retire would it be enough? As it is I NEVER relax, never stop 'working' and never feel like I've done what I set out to do enough.

It's not a real issue (hence not posting in the personal support section). I just find it an interesting topic to think and talk about. Does anyone else feel this same way? Has anyone ever felt like this and found a way to relax or an end to the work? Do you think that being this way holds back happiness?

 

I think a lot of people feel like it never enough. In general life to not just in work. But I think you have to find that balance point of when you feel like ok this is enough self happiness is the most important thing.

You can never have enough money, ;D but the internet is full of people the same as you trying to make a extra buck so you have to be creative.

 

Yeah, i certainly agree with this, but how do you find that balance? We are told our whole life that balance is so important, in our diet, our lifestyle and many other things. But how do you find that balance? If working feels unnecessary and more important then that becomes the priority and the balance becomes distorted

Yeah, i'm sure there is but when they have made a few 'extra bucks' is there an point of satisfaction that they've done what they set out to do?
