Hey guys,
As many of you already know by now, I have banned for being a “pain in the ass†(the official reason isn’t specified). I’ll make this clear from the start: This is neither officially a high pardon nor a thread to flame or call out anyone in particular. I want everyone reading this to understand my side on things and to see where I'm coming from. I am not really seeking to be unbanned nor for people to take sides, although it would be nice to have one more chance and be back. If staff wishes to not approve this, archive it, or even delete this, then so be it—I just thought I’d say my last goodbye’s and appreciations.
I first discovered Sythe way back in January of this year and joined to sell a few gift cards I had received after the holidays. I joined initially just for the market but then some major drama happened, (I don’t remember what) and that was what caused me to venture in places other than the marketplace. Boom, I then discovered the spam forum. Before I new, I started posting on there and eventually after a few weeks got “recognized†for the memes I used to make. I was "accepted" into the community, but eventually that got old and even I was tired of it. I guess what I’m trying to say is that the community was completely different back then if you compare it to how things are now. I have witnessed in seeing the community slowly diminish and “die offâ€. The community was arguably pretty unified and close-knit back then. Now recently, series of major drama has in my opinion, resulted in the formation of different cliques and factions. There has no doubt been an increase in the hostility, aggression, and resentment towards other members as well as mods. No matter how much you may hate me, if you are reading this, you should agree with this. I refused to take part in this (at least publicly) and looking back on this now, I guess resorted to spamming/trolling in order to keep getting attention and “keeping my name out there†while still having to have fun. While at this, I tried making things less boring around the forums, for example bumping threads in the DL after seeing the same old “rate XXX’s signature†or “what the best way to describe so-and-so.†I was aware that I was placed in the last chance usergroup and tried by best to abide by the rules and not get 1 last infraction. Out of all the reasons I could have gotten myself permanently banned after being placed in the LCU, even I was shocked when it was just for my signature lol. I like Sythe.org and enjoy hanging out with the community and it's unfortunate it had to end like this. Even Richard himself seems to have more tolerance than some of his other staff.
As Runescape is dying, it’s disappointing to also see how Sythe.org, is slowly diminishing with it (in terms of members). The market is dying, the spam forum is essentially dead, and the IRC still has the same number of people in it that it had months ago. Sythe.org is turning into an arbitrary moderated forum (with some mods blatantly favoring some members over the others--not to mention the elastic clauses that get added whenever the right time strikes), and finally the disregard to explore new ideas and suggestions. With that being said, there are still a handful of members/mods who still continue to make Sythe.org what it once used to be. I thought about it for a while but decided not to name anyone in particular, but I just want to say thank you for those who still try to keep the spirit of Sythe alive. You already who you are and how much I’m truly grateful for getting the opportunity of knowing and meeting you. And haters stop the hating lol. Looking like this is probably going to be it for me, I just wanted to say my last few words and goodbye’s. Although I'm asking for yet another chance, I won't even be surprised if some mods interpret this as a joke and replied to this with a short sentence or phrase. Anyways, if this is rejected, I will still be in the IRC like normal I imagine, and occasionally on msn, though probably not so much on the latter if you want to talk.
