Games Similar to Dead Island

So I'm looking for games similar to Dead Island where it's still First Person but it's not packed with guns and shit. You do stuff and you have to find other weapons as well instead of ammo and guns.

Can you help me?

Is that co-op playable?

 

There is a Half-life 2 mod coming out Halloween called No More Room in Hell. Multiplayer co-op zombie survival, sounds like what you're after. Here's a promo vid.

What about the dead rising series?
I don't think that they're first person, but I liked playing them.

 

Condemned is not co-op, but Dead Rising is. Dead Rising is also 3rd person, but you are able to find weapons/create your own, without many guns.

There isn`t much like it which is the reason that this game sells But you can try Killing floor which is alright but isnt free roaming.

 

Borderlands is practically the same game, different plot, different environment.

 

Except you always have guns, which is what he didn't want.

 

Maybe im wrong, but i think you took him too literally. He's trying to avoid FPS suggestions, which are aplenty when it comes to the zombie//survival genre. He wants to focus on the scavenging/character development/statistical side of the game, as opposed to copious bullets fired and the picking up of guns. Borderlands has a relatively comparable game template to that of Dead Island, disregard the fact that you start out with guns as opposed to melee weapons.
