How to Increase Your Runescape Combat Level Fast

    Step 1
The first thing you will do when you get to Lumbridge from Tutorial Island is wield your bronze sword and wooden shield and head for the chickens on the other side of the river. Just cross the bridge, head north, and look for the chickens on the left side (west) of the road. Set your combat style to Accurate so you will be working on your Attack skill.
Working on Attack before anything else is most important, since it is the Attack skill that will determine what kind of weapon you can wield. Right now you could wield iron of you had any money, but it is not enough of a difference to matter. Bronze will do for the short amount of time you will need it.
Start killing chickens, and collect everything that they drop except eggs. Bury the bones, keep the feathers (they will stack in one inventory spot), and when your inventory is full you can head into the farm house and cook the chicken in the cooking pot. This way you will be working on Attack skill, Hit Points skill (which will happen any time you are in combat), Cooking Skill, and Prayer Skill.
If proper planning is the most important factor in fast leveling, then the second most important is getting the maximum XP out of anything you do. Whenever possible, work on more than one skill at a time.

    Step 2
Make sure you have feathers in your inventory (last time I did this I got 255 feathers by the time I got to Attack level 5; you might have more or less depending on drops and other players who leave feathers on the ground.)
Also, make sure to bring some of the cooked chicken you made, in case you are attacked, since you are going on a little hike to Varrok*. Go north on the road until you reach a spot where you must go west or east. Take the west path, and follow until it turns north. It is a good idea to save your run energy until just around this point, as it is from here into the city where you are most likely to be attacked. Continue north into Varrok, and go all the way to the central fountain. West of here is one of the two banks, and north of that is the Grand Exchange. This is our destination.
When you reach the Grand Exchange you will need to see one of the two Tutors at the south entrance before you can use it. Choose one or the other for a basic or elaborate explanation, then head to the exchange counter. Sell your feathers, and any extra cooked chicken you might want to part with. If you are lucky, you will have over 1000 gold coins.
Use those coins to purchase a Steel Scimitar. This will be your weapon of choice for the time being. Why a scimitar? Simply put, they do more damage over time than any of the other basic weapons of the same metal, with the exception of the 2-handers. However, with a two hander you cannot wear a shield. If you are killing things that cannot hurt you, then perhaps this is all right, but at low levels when there are still things around that can hurt you, a shield is a good thing to have. Remember that you might get a zombie or Shade, or some other random, even if you are just fighting chickens.
Hopefully these exchanges all happen quickly. You can adjust your prices up or down within the price range to try to speed things up, but I have rarely ever had to wait.
When you have your scimitar, use the Home Teleport to get to Lumbridge to start Step 3.

    Step 3
Go back to the chickens, this time working on Strength instead of Attack. Strength determines how high you can hit, whereas Attach determines how often you hit and miss, as well as what level of items you can wield. We want to keep these skills somewhat balanced, with a slight emphasis on Attack.
Kill chickens, bury bones, collect feathers and cook raw chickens until you reach Strength level 5. You should now be hitting 2’s as well as 1’s, which will help your training go that much faster. Now on to Step 4.

    Step 4
Continue with the same activity, but working on Attack again. This time we want to get to Attack level 10.

    Step 5
Go to the Grand Exchange, sell your feathers (plus cooked chickens if you like), then buy a Black Long Sword. This will be the only time that we will take a long sword over a scimitar, only because of the price difference. If for some lucky reason you happen to have enough money, go ahead and buy the black scimitar; if not, then the black long will work just fine. Also, you can sell your steel scimitar, as you have outgrown it now.

    Step 6
Once again, head for the chickens. Don’t worry; this is our last trip there.
First, work on your strength until you reach level 10. By the time you do you should be hitting 3’s. Now switch to Defense, and work your way to Defense Level 5. Again, you should be collecting feathers, burying bones and cooking raw chickens.

    Step 7
Go to the Grand Exchange, sell your feathers, hides, cooked chickens, and whatever you have that you want to sell.

How to Increase Your Runescape Combat Level Fast

If you really need this guide I find it strange that you would be on Sythe.

This is just the basics that most people would learn in the Tutorial plus an hour or two of play time. Should also look into some of the details in your strategy and purchases
