Issue with Skype notifications.

So basically whenever someone adds me on skype, I do not get the notification unless I actually open the app, then it will pop up. For instance, if someone adds me at 5 pm, I won't get a notification until I actually open the skype app at lets say 9 pm. This has caused me to lose multiple deals due to time differences and buyers necessity to sell/buy gold quickly.

What can I do to change this and get a notification the moment someone adds me? I have been using the same skype for years. Would creating a new skype fix the issue or is there a setting I can change?

Try using web skype. I personally experienced this, and solved it by using web skype.

 

It works with web skype, however I am not always on my computer so it is inefficient.
