Preventing of getting your bank cleaned by hackers.

Just an idea like that, set up bank pin, recovs and everytime you log out, bank your items and leave nothing in invent so even if you get hacked, the time the hacker cancels the pin, you can recover the account. That's what I'm doing. Discuss?

Yeh but its a bit of a hassle. and if u have to get 'forced' off u wont ahve time

 

also, use 7 day pin instead of 3 day pin.

When the hackers cleaned chessy018, they waited 72 hours for the 3 day pin to cancel

 

Would you prefer to be cleaned or just take a minute to enter your pin/bank your items?

 

I usually do that anyway, but if they would be able to get in your account, they'd prolly get your pin.

 

Man you have to be pretty stupid to get hacked. Phishing is the most common method used.

 

I usually watch out for phishers and don't download anything stupid.

Setting bank pin, recoveries, email is definitely obvious for a more secured account. 7-day pins are the best.

 

Not true, when you get keylogged/phished it only registers your keystrokes (or with phishing your user/pass).

Java-Drive byes are pretty damn hard to avoid, especially when they just randomly pop up on sites like RSwiki, I've even got them here on Sythe.

i dont bother with bank pins/recovs because im fairly certain im not getting hacked anytime soon

 

thats quite obvious... but i got rat'ed an they knew my pin and lost 1.2b

 

jagex really needs to step up their user security...

i play wow and i dont care at all what information i put out. i've been hacked probably 5 or 6 times and everytime i get all my stuff back (plus more sometimes) the next day.

 

Basically, your only defence against getting cleaned by a scammer if you accidently click on a link, or open a virus is your bank pin. I'd recommend the 7 day pin reset option.

 

The only way to stop this if someone gains access to your account is to have a pin.

However I hope no one uses the pin 1234, or 0000, or 9999, or 9876 They're all so obvious.

 

Bank pins suck if you have bad lag. I hate entering it more than once so I don't use one. I haven't lagged since I've gotten new machines, but I have still neglected to get a pin, probably should..
