It's a good start for a beginner. Looks clean.

 

It looks good you might want to add some contrast/color to the text. But decent is a good word yes.

You're getting better, one thing I've noticed about your work is that the text usually looks plain. Try experimenting with textures, adding any sort of effect over top of it with a blending mode this will make the text look more appealing.

Also try to learn some colour theory and which colors visually go well with each other, this should help http://www.colormatters.com/color-and-design/basic-color-theory

 

For a beginner, I think it looks really awesome. I like the color choice. Very nice!

 

It is okay, however I think that the text is slightly on the plain side and that the hat on the 'R' is slightly out of place compared to the rest of the design.

 

I think outlining every element in a thick black line would really make it POP. But aside from that a decent attempt.
