Current State of Runescape

Hey guys, I haven't been on RS for nearly 2 years and just by reading around the forums and browsing the guides/RS website updates the game has changed a lot.

I recall that while the wilderness has been restored and trading limits were lifted (I quit around the time the first trading limits (50k max) were imposed) and then were removed.


I'd like to know about the current state of the game how RWT works now and other important updates and facts that you deem important

I also quit about the same time, but ive quit and come back many times before.

Probably the biggest update lately has been the bot nuke, the removal of all reflection based bots in Runescape (Many people will say there not all gone but, theoretically all reflection bots should be gone).

Real World Trading (RWT) is not affected and hasnt changed. Jagex claim there trying to stop it but, nothings changed, its all the same even after the bot nuke.

I cant remeber how long ago these were introduced.. But Overloads and Extremes are available for very high level herblore (You might have been around for those)

A new quest and minigame has just been released very recently, the Fight Kiln, basically you have to sacrifice one fire cape to fight a monster equivalent to 2 Jads to get a cooler fire cape type thing..

There are many, many more updates but if you get back into it, you'll figure em out pretty quick.

 

The only affect to RWT would be the price of gp. As jagex nuked most bots, this affected many gold farmers making it harder for them to obtain milliosn of gp daily, increasing the RW price of gp.

 

I followed the most popular and biggest gold trading sites and many of them actually offered discounts to celebrate the bot nuke (Most likely just to stick it to Fagex that they were still operating) and prices havnt changed much at all. These sites just use cheap Asian labour to farm the gold continually

 

The game is in shambles as they are trying to keep a declining number of members. The graphical updates are a poor attempt at trying to get new people involved but the numbers have had a drastic decline.

 

It realy is a fraction of wut it used to be imo, I wus a active player from 2004 - 2007 it all went down hill from then tbh.

 

Basically runescape became suckscape , every1 has overpowered weapons , all 2k11 prods cant pk without getting rushed and the list goes on and on....

 

Its not the same as it was. I am only on the game to make money. It is full of newfags.

 

you picked quite a bad time to come back imo....They have changed ALOT and they are still planning on changing ALOT. Check arround in the Live Q&A thing that they had on the forums and idk they really are ruining runescape, but we still play so whats the matter. Regardless hope your not too heartbroken coming back into the 2k12 rs...
