    Soldiers ARE NOT HEROES (wikileaks)

Been watching this site for awhile, and they came out with an interesting video about a week ago. I believe there is a lot worse material out there, we will see in the coming months.

What's your point? We've all seen it before, and there are plenty of threads on it already.

I have been following wikileaks constantly for a few months, and before their viral video was released. I don't follow sythe.org, and I don't care what anyone else posted - I didn't break a rule.

Most of you do NOT know what goes on through the soldiers minds. You have no idea the amount of stress that goes upon them.

Yes, the people shouldn't have died, but it wasn't entirely the soldiers fault. They were in a hot zone, and had to make judgment.

In war, unfortunately, it's shoot, or be shot at. These guys did their best trying to see if they really were terrorists. It's not like us right now watching this video - we can see a pattern now that we can rewind the video over and over again. If you hesitate at a time where those are really terrorists, you won't breathe a next breath within the next few seconds after they blow you up with an explosive. It HAS happened many times before.

AH-64...what a beautiful piece machinery. If he believed what he saw was an RPG of course he would have attacked. An Apache can take small arms fire, but to risk getting hit with an RPG...fuck that. It only takes a split second of hesitation for you to lose you're life.

Let me put this into perspective for you would be soldier's who play Call of Duty Modern warfare 2...I'm sure you guys remember at least one of those stupid missions where you gotta kill the terrorists but there's civilians running around everywhere. How many of them did you accidentally kill because you didn't want to die and you we're nervous. Now Imagine if it was really you're life you were playing with and you only got one...oh yea and the rounds hitting you hurt.

I actually hate myself for comparing war to a stupid game, but I feel its the only way to get through to some of you living in a fantasy world.

Yes, there were civilians at the center in the video, but even after the man with the RPG was killed, he still fired upon everyone else.

This is war, not a video game. In video games there is no moral judgement. These men acted like they were playing video games, joking with death - it was pretty damn evident. The army is only a game, and each level is losing one piece of your conscious. The highest level being pure cruelty and evil.

War is war, you have to stay one step of the enemy. You think if Iraqi's had invaded our country would have not done something similar?

The important distinction is they didn't, and never would have.

Look at terrorist attacks, is that not in any morally wrong compared to this.. there are many other factors you have to think about.

Nobody cares, move on. Only internet freaks see this, the majority of the public eye doesn't give a f*ck and never will. Forget it, F*ed up situation but just let it go, you can't do anything about something that deep.

Personaly matters. I think everyone one gets sent to war is a hero. Even though they know the risk and going there on their own will

What's your point? The Iraqi government had no involvement with any of the attacks prior to the war.

They have to joke about it, you start troubling you're mind with you're conscience you get distracted...you get distracted you die. I'm going to joke about it too when I get there. As hard as it is for me to say this, I know everyone I deploy with is not going to be coming home alive. Now these are my best friends in the whole world, and some will lose their lives. So fuck yea I'm going to chuckle and have a smile on my face every time I see a terrorist die. And my buddies will do the same.

I don't care what you think really, you're too soft and empathetic you don't take into account the American lives that are lost...War is won threw brutality. America's population is slowly being replaced with vegans and pussies. I want the America my grandfather told me about, filled with Red Blooded Americans.

You should ask the Pilot's and Gunners of those Apaches how many friends they have lost...I know its going to be at least one, and that's too many.

Oh yea by the way...what do you think the Terrorists are doing after they kill one of us...crying?

Its easier to judge someone sitting in a computer chair.

If that is what you're trying to argue...The Iraqi government failed to control them, if they can't control them...somebody had to. And if they attacked us, I think it would be in our best interest to stop them. The Iraqi Government was involved through their negligence.
