Combat level?

So... I haven't been on runescape for a while.
I recently checked my account and my combat level is in the 200's
So what's with that?

Also has there been any good combat updates recently?

 

A new system called the Evoloution of combat was added to the live game in November of 2012, it changed the entire combat system completely.

Also to answer your question the new maximum combat level is 200 yes, this is because there is a new combat calculation sytstem.

The highest of your Attack, Strength, Magic, Summoning, or Ranged level
added together then your Defence level plus 2.

And if you would like my opinion on it all, it's rubbish ! aha.

200 is the maximum then, as you have 99 defence, and either 99 attack/strength/ranged/magic.
