Is scar scripting hard

Ok ive seen alot of nice scripts get sold for some good rs cash.. ad ive seen some good scripts.. run for some time... is scar easy to learn? i no its not dead easy and i no i gotta put some work into it aswell... but is it wourth trying to script? if so and ur willing to give ur time up to help me i would be very happy if u could

Depends, like saying is maths hard? its basically like maths or science or something i guess... you either find it easy or hard

I'm not a scripter myself, although I am looking into it

Depends a bit on your programming experience I guess.. Not really that hard to make decent RS scripts, but making a payscript level stuff is a different story.. But I suggest it.. And of course I suggest going to SRL-Forums for help, tutorials + alot of good scripts etc.

Well you have to keep learning to use the autos first from someone else. Then you can start scripting to make your own kind but takes time.

 

I practice SCAR...I make simple scripts, eventually making them better, but for me, it takes way longer then it would for a decent script maker.

 

Its a simple but strict language. Its easy to learn, but there are many hidden professional layers you can unfold if you study Pascal longer. This is what I did:

I printed out every good script I'd run. I took them with me and studied them whenever I had the time. I made notes on the script (god it looks silly now...) and back home behind the P.C. I'd experiment with copying/pasting code into my own scripts. I set myself small goals. Gradually I got the hang of it. I found out I needed to look through runescape. Not seeing it as a game, but as a sequence of repeating patterns. That was my Aha Erlebniss.

I have been working with SCAR for 1 1/2 year now, making scripts for every possible skill, and I still enjoy watching my own scripts run. Programming is very addictive, but it is a positive addiction. It broadens your view on science, it opens up your mind for complex programmatic problems and it generally makes you smarter.
