RWTers banned - Rares going to raise?

I am sure must of you heard about the recent bans of Win All Day, Stokenut, Smoking Mills and probably more. As you are aware, their wealth was enormous, which included shit load of rares - phats, santas, masks, eegs... Everything!
All these rares got nuked with the accounts... Kinda a stupid move by Fagex, letting so many rares go to shit.

What do you all think? Rares gonna raise sky high? (mostly divine+ely shields).

 

I hope they do. People got tons of them now -.-

 

They aren't wiped, they are put back into the GE.

 

Jagex said that the amount of rares in game was not changed by this ban. I'd say they put them back in the grand exchange or something.

 

Then they are going to crash badly, their price on G.E isnt even close to the street price (talking about the phats).

rares arent wiped but gp is.

Around 100b or so is gone so far.

 

The only thing that has different GE price to street price is Cracker and Blue Phat.

 

considering the ammount of rsgp in game, i doubt 100b going missing will dent the game much


on the off note, how do these people make so much? i have 500m and feel like i have nothing, back in the day i uset to cherish 15m with everything i got

that 800b dupe was sold but the people buying it were bulk asians and they just got wiped or banned again.

Jagex did state that all rares lost in banned accounts were not going to affect the quantity of rares in the game, that they had some kind of function to smartly put them back into the game, but is most likely putting them onto the ge, or perhaps even a undercover j-mod selling a few at w2.

Said that that jagex will re-invite the rares back into the game from banned accounts. Assuming they use the ge.

They've always done this.

 

As someone previously said they have a smart function in which they will put the items back into the game. I don't think they'd put them in at g.e price too as prices fluctuate between street and g.e.

My guess would be they would just sell them in w2 or something using a different account. Who knows what they have planned =)

Wow I haven't been playing lately, didn't think they would do anything like this since lately they have been tolerant.

 

I just heard a rumour in-game that Jagex posted some more botting/RWT bans on their Facebook page. Their may/may not be some more high profile names banned, can anybody confirm this?

 

those facebook posts which i can see were just about the people banned in ops post, the china hunter clan and the dicers.

Hi,

Today we have banned a large number of accounts involved with self-titled “botting clans”. All of these accounts have been identified by our new data analysis tool and are 100% guilty of breaking our rules. These accounts have been permanently banned with no chance of appeal.

As mentioned on the forums yesterday, expect more bans and punishments in the very near future.

The use of bots will not be tolerated and will result in permanent action against any accounts found to have cheated in this way.

Hi,

Today we have banned several high-profile accounts from the dicing scene.

We can happily confirm that the ring leaders found to be involved in selling RuneScape gold have been banned. Their actions have directly funded a sizable portion of all real world trading activity within the game, led to increased macro use, and resulted in huge surges in spam advertising.

Such actions are strictly against our rules, and all accounts have been wiped and permanently nuked.

This should serve a clear warning to anyone else engaged in similar activities; expect more bans of any continuing offenders.

We have been finely tuning our new anti-cheat and anti-hijack tools over the past few months and are now steadily bringing these systems online in select areas. This is part of an on-going rollout that will be completed over the course of next two months. More good news will follow in due course.

Some of you may already have noticed that we have started cleaning up the high scores over the last week and this will assist us in being able to re-introduce relevant gold farmer free F2P high scores again.

Yes, most of them put up Youtube videos. Win All Day now has a Java drive-by on his website as well.

 

So Jagex banned those two accounts, and some botters, only? Those two players are hardly big in rwt.
