Is my account recoverable [2 1/2 Years]

I bought an account off of PlayerAuctions 2 1/2 years ago.

• The seller was a mass seller (one of the ones advertised by PA, with 1000s of 4*+ ratings)
• I bought a 70ATK - 70STR - 70DEF Account
• The account came with the "login email" the one the account was registered with. I changed the password of said email and added 2FA / my phone number
• I also changed the runescape account email, added 2FA etc.
• I botted on the account and got a soft ban.

After all said, my account is slowly creeping up to a 2k total level, and accumulating a decent amount of wealth.

I was wondering, is the account still recoverable by the seller?

I have access to all the credentials the account has came with. and have changed them

How would the seller go about recovering the account with access to 0 data other than an IP and ISP that the account was registered with?(if he saved it for 2 years)

Am I safe to continue accumulating wealth on the account?

Just curious looking for self comfort

Yes, its likely that the oo could still recover. After 2.5 years though and by his reputation, pretty clear that his intent isn't to recover it.

 

How would he come about this? Do you know the process exactly?

 

Rule of thumb is that the original owner will always have a strong ability to recover the account.

If the person was selling accounts en masse I might not necessarily be worried about them. Any workers they had doing the work for them, on the other hand, could be an issue.

 

All they need to do is fill out the recovery information including all kinds of stuff like past passwords, billing info if they didn't use bonds, original ip/isp/general location of where it was made, and stuff like that.

 

accounts are always recoverable, I wouldn't worry 1 bit if I was you. giving the facts you said about the seller; he's as legit as it gets lol

 

Original owner can always recover the account no matter how much time has passed. Only buy from someone who you 100% trust.

 

I think I have a good idea of who your seller was. I've had no problems with these kinds of sellers in the past and it's been over a year since I resold the account. Don't stress over it too much my dude

 

when he's had enough of the market and decides to do something else he will most likely scam quit and recover every account he has ever sold.

You are probably completely safe man.

 

I doubt he will be able to recover it though, if you have set your details on it and used a credit card for payment through out this period it will be hard otherwise as jagex values membership information a lot in a recovery.

when people buy accounts they shouldnt use bonds, they should register their card and name in order to attatch themselves to the account

I always wondered if Jagex would let someone recover 1k+ accounts.

 

same... has this happened before to anyone's knowledge? obviously you can't recover 1k accounts easily, but, for example, has there ever been any big time account sellers who have scam quit and successfully tried recovering dozens or even hundreds of accounts, maybe over a longer period of time? I imagine jagex would figure it out, but it seems like such a questionable situation, I'd have no idea how jagex would respond.

You should be okay, especially if you have had it that long and the seller being as reputable as you say.
