Is Marijuana really as bad as they say it is?

I have been smoking canibis(marijuana, pot, dope, weed) for 4 years now and I have not seen anychange in anything I do. And, don't get me wrong...I smoke it on a regular basis(5 times a week). When I was in school, I was smoking it and my grades never dropped and I also achieved the highest possible mark in English and Computer skills HSC(Year 12, final exams).

Now, we are told all the time that bud(canibis) is a "gateway" drug, but I honestly don't see it. I haven't tried or am even interested in trying any other drugs.

    What are your thoughts, Sythe?

Not at all. Depends on the person. For some it is a gateway drug, for others it is not. It was a gateway drug for me and my friends though. The only reason why it's a gateway drug is because of the black market. The typical drug dealer usually doesn't just sell marijuana. They usually have a range of products. My friend's mom forced him to watch a documentary on how marijuana users start doing heroin and cocaine. He told me fuck that im never doing that crazy shit. Months later he's in rehab for doing heroin and cocaine :/ . Coincidence? I used to say I would never do coke, but later on I tried it and I couldn't go a day without it. Then one day I realized this stuff's is not good for my body at all. I hated the pain of withdrawing but it had to be done.

I've been smoking weed for 2 years now. The only other drug I have ever tried is shrooms, so people who say that marijuana is a gateway drug are full of shit. It's just for people who fear it to tell there kids or younger people. My parents know I smoke weed and they weren't fond of the idea at first, but after putting facts into there heads and showing them that alcohol causes stupid behavior, not so much weed. After 2 years I have seen no change in my intellect or behavior, the only side effects are smart ideas, and having a lot more fun, and being happy.

Take this for example. Pregnant women aren't supposed to use painkillers, or drink lots of alcohol, but there is no medical facts ( that I have found ) against smoking pot while your pregnant, it won't effect the baby.

You usually won't see a change in your life if you're smart.
Cannabis, as well as any non-addictive thing used for recreation is completely dependent on a person's metal level.
(When I say non-addictive, I mean physical dependency... Cannabis is something that you'll never have physical withdraws from stopping at any point.)

I used it for going on 10 years and it hasn't made a lick of difference... graduated highschool with a 3.23 GPA which isn't the best but it isn't by any means a "druggie's GPA".
Yeah it might have been a bit of a "gateway drug" but like it's all about how you mentally handle yourself. I've tried just about everything and nothing really stuck like pot did.
Now I don't even smoke anymore, quit for a job and nothing has changed still.

But that's just my personal experience.

I smoked it for 3 years and I have been allot more successful since quitting. It's not good for mental health.

Like said before it is a gateway drug that may or may not get you into other things, the only thing it really does in my opinion is make you lazier, and makes it easier to get depressed. Due to the fact you get happier and have more fun easier which makes it so, not in all cases, so that you want to stay inside, not be as proactive and such

We don't need any more "weed" threads.
