    i will b trying to learn a computer language, it will most likemy b java but i just wanted to ask ppl who know the language first

    is java the best?
    I like Java better over any language.. It is easy to learn and get use to.. I say Java should be the first language you should learn than move on to different ones.

    I have been learning Java for awhile now, and I have found it to be versatile and fairly easy to grasp.

    i reccomend eclipe.... i think i spellled that right :/ it makes it very easy to test your prgrams and it shows oyu your mistakes and stuff :/

    Don't learn Java first. Learn it later, by all means, but not first.

    1. Automatic garbage collection will mean you don't understand the underlying concept behind the heap etc.
    2. Java is a big language. A big language, with a lot of keywords to learn, and it'll take you longer to get to actual problems.
    3. Java takes fucking ages to type out. You will spend 5 seconds thinking about a problem, and five hours typing it out. It should be the other way around.

    VB is an extremely limited teaching language for infants, C# is like C for dummies, and Java is like C# for people who can't get the .NET framework.

    is java the best?
    When i first started out with scripting it was msl(mirc scripting language) this is a very simple,plain,easy language that are ment for mirc... It cant really do something usefull except for triggers etc. but its a good way to get your headup for scripting.

    (if you get your headup for msl and want to go on a higherlevel irc based scripting the next language you should go for is tcl)

    Java is easiest and most popular programing language so i sugsesst to learn java first. Then you can easly learn c++ coding and other ;)
