Why doesn't everyone drop trade when transferring?

I see so many people getting their GP wiped because they have a shit ton of mules, etc. Well why not when transferring gp from one of your accounts to another just drop trade it?

--And honestly if you just drop it at any stairs, log onto your other account and walk to the stairs no one will assume you are a drop trader...



(This is not for transferring to other players, just among your own accounts. I have an account with all my mils and when I trade other people I drop trade from one account to another to do the trade)

 

Good point, Just my opinion I dont do it because of the risk of someone ele's picking it up, if for some reason I lag out/White screened/Somthing happening stopping me from getting it in time.

So I just stake, But I dont sell gp so when I transfer its not much so I doubt Jagex would even look at me for RWT

Ive been thinking about this ever since they started wiping peoples bank, I dont think jagex really tracks what you drop/pick up, but its also kinda dangerous incase someone comes and picks it up, doing increments will probably be the best option

 

The GP or items usually wouldn't show up when I used to try it.

 

I used to drop trade all the time back in the day, but I don't think I would ever risk drop trading a large amount of gold or valuables due to the fact somebody else could pick them up, or you risk DC'ing or something and losing your entire bank

 

I mean if you think about it, drop parties are aloud right? So I can drop coins and once I drop it it's free for anyone to take. So it just looks like an account found some coins randomly! I usually trade only 100m at a time, and I have never been worried about someone picking it up, and I literally do it in the middle of banks and popular areas. If I would try and find a secret spot that would be so clear that I was drop trading if I was standing in the middle of no where...

 

Drop trading has so many flaws, you lagging out, disconnecting, money being stolen, etc. The best way, in my opinion, is trading the cash strait to them. Reason? Well, hundreds of players trade away loads of cash for trust games, and do they get banned for RWT? Nope

 

This is more for the people who deal with Hundreds of mils, which increases the chance of being GP wiped dramatically. I'm not worried about being banned for RWT, I'm worried about how my friend got wiped and lost over 10b, and now he even drop trades before trading.

Imo, just go to a big dicing world and preten to be a dicer thrn just trade it from your mule.

First of all, gaining a large amount of GP regardless of what method is always suspicious. Secondly if you do it normally, you'll be on the same IP adress..

Thirdly, your shit might get stolen (yes even if u do it somewhere no one almost ever comes)

 

I see it as a longer process for Jagex for get my main money hoarder. I have one account that I drop trade to another account, to another account which then trades the GP to the buyer. That in my opinion, if not a FACT, is way safer than trading GP lol. Hence why 0 of my accounts which have handled well over 10b weekly have been caught.

-I only drop trade in common area's, that's where I'm smarter than idiots that go try and find a "secret, unknown area"...

 

I think R2Pleasent has a guide on how to avoid gold rollbacks, as indeed alot of people have been wiped. This might be worth checking out for people who sell alot of gold.

Oh yeah it's safer, it's still not a 100% safer though.

At the moment, if you make too many high volumed high trades (500M+ trades). You are very like to get a gp reset.
For lower amounts than that or not frequently trading, you're in no danger.

 

Yea it definitely has technically more risk then just trading since my internet could lag out and someone could grab the gold. I've just been doing it for so long that it seems flawless.

 

I've drop traded before, but in small increments. But in a way, the risks out-way the benefits. It's too dangerous to risk hundreds of M to the same IP and someone can take it. But if it's only a small amount, it's good.

 

lol lost a ags like this... was drop trading from my semi rich main to my gs pure which was poor at the time so i dropped it logged on to the pure and i didnt realise i was one square away, i thought i was on top of the ags.

FAIL.
someone else gets my ags as they just walk on it before it appears and take it.

 

If you have a really trusted friend i don't know why you'd need to risk your money by drop trading, but i guess your still risking it when your transferring it with a friend. I guess both ways have its ups and downs.
