Is it 'wrong' for a man to hit a woman?

Rather than running around the question and throwing look-at-me-I'm-so-morally-good statements at the OP, I'll give a concise answer.

No, it's not wrong (in a reasonable situation where gender does not play an immediate role). The best way to put it would be is as follows - I'd hit a girl for the same reason I'd hit a guy although I'm a bit more apprehensive when it comes to using violence at all.

I condemn acts of pointless aggression: beating your partner/spouse/etc, random fights, unnecessary retaliation, all those things.

Society seems to have incorrigible ideal that it is fundamentally wrong to ever lay your hands on a woman in a violent way. Ever. Even in self-defense.

Times when a man may hit a women:
1.When she is a deaf women who is standing on his genitals
2.When she is beating up a smaller man who is screaming for help.
3.When she is chasing him with a knife.
4.When she loves to be hit while having sex.

 

Not always. I can think of lots of cases where it's perfectly moral to hit someone.

One is justified in using physical force to counter an immediate threat of violence (i.e. self-defense), regardless of gender. Whether or not one ought to do so would depend on one's moral viewpoint.

anywho pretty much what i put on the last thread, No. Woman wnat all this equality shit, they can get hit like a man, now granted you shouldn't just slap a bitch, but if she puts herself in a mans situation and comes up on you, or trying to hurt you, bitch will be hit.

 

Nobody should hit anyone unless in a dire situation with no other choice. Women aren't any different to men. It's the stereotypical "men shouldn't hit women" and "men can take it" attitude that sees men be domestically abused and not want to speak out.

I believe it's wrong for a man to hit a female on grounds of scientific facts, not religious bullshit. I believe it's wrong because females, scientifically, cannot build their bodies to be stronger than males and their bodies aren't meant to be shaped into that form to begin with. Due to this, there is an unfair advantage for a male. Some motherfucker said a quote that's very true and can be related to this topic.

"It's wrong for a human to hit another human." Sounds very general, without any restriction, don't you agree? And it's moral to hit sometimes even though it's not in self-defense. Imagine begin black and having a redneck who says "nigger" to you (without violence) every time he passes by. I would say it's moral to hit him, just to teach him a lesson.

 

Its just a known fact men are physically superior then women. So knowing that fact why would you hit a women? Someone you know is weaker then you. That does make you a coward anyone who lays their hands on a women deserves to be beaten to shit.

 

To be honest most women want equal rights only when it benefits them. They still expect men to be chivalrous and hold the door open pay for things etc. And hitting a woman is still viewed as wrong in our western society. But to be honest if you come home and your wife has drowned 2 of your kids and she is about to drown the third one the only thing to do is hit her.

But we are speaking on terms of pretty much anything however most of these people have a point. Women are just physically under us, just like children and old people, if any of them hit you, we are men and can take a punch. The real question is, can you self-control take a punch?
