Was that even played lol? I remember playing the hype when it just came out, but I feel as if URF mode as a set-in-stone mode would've been more optimal, at least according to reddit lol.

 

It was used mainly for botting in my opinion.

 

Dominion was actually pretty fun and had a surprising amount of strategy involved - I remember when Riot made some Dominion-specific changes to certain champs (or maybe it was only Kassadin). It's a shame that they're closing it down after ignoring it for so long and not following through with any of the promises they made to rejuvenate the mode.

I was thinking of going for 100 wins to get the icon, but the queue times are still pretty long so I don't think that's going to happen.

 

Hopefully this means Riot can focus more on active content, not that they ever really focused on Dominion. I'm sure it will return as a seasonal queue.

 

I enjoyed Dominion, but I'd be lying if I played it more than like 15 times over the past few years. League isn't really like HoTS, I don't think the game works well on maps that aren't Summoners Rift and the Howling Abyss.
