What is your prediction time for Runescape to shut down?

I personally think 2 years and it will be receiving no updates, 95% bots

What do you guys think?

 

I think jagex will do something by then even if its removing free trade. 2 more years of what is going already is bad enough let alone the bot activity increasing more. Il give it another 10 years if not our entire lifetime..

i have no idea..they are making a new game though!

 

3-5 years they realize bots are a large part of community and demand to ban them.

5-7 years they realize by banning all bots they lose shit ton more money and begin bankrupting
7-8 years RS is gone and they move on to another MMO.
8-9 years we create bots for this game as we'll and screw then again

 

i think rs will continue to stay at the same activity rate, gold will crash to 0.10$/m there will be atleast 200k bots on at anytime, and then jagex will pull their finger out in say 2013/2012 and theylll mass ban.

i would like to see them mass wipe everything so everything starts again everyone level 3 etc or like they bring out runescape 3 : P

 

I would be pissed if the wiped everything, But how would they do a mass ban?

 

This game will still be around 10 years from now.
They're investing too much money into it for it to not be long term.

As long as Jagex gets good money out of it, they'll keep on hosting the game.

I reckon 2015 as well, 4 years or so and it'll be the end of the road for runescape..

 

+1 Reason for not playing now.

2 years from now...Either jagex mass ban, or the botting community becomes runescape. Gold crashes, because there's no players who need gold, items crash. The community goes into turmoil.

 

I think they'll just put more obstacles up for bots. I doubt they will end the game because there are REAL people who play.

EDIT: Oh, and all rare holiday items will rise but everything else will get lower. ANd hopefully a new skill!

No way, Jagex is going to continue to update Runescape as long as they have active users, when they see the users drop they will stop the game.

 

We will just have to see how long that takes, alot of people are quitting ATM.

 

I don't see why they would shut it down in regards to bots. Botting is like 65% of the cash jagex rolls in.

 

RuneScape will never get 95% of bots. People will always do bossing and such stuff, and I think it will never shut down, it will always be continued by different companies.
