Is it appropriate to post about scams involving top sellers that took place off site?

    Hello everyone,

I need to share a troubling story about a well-known seller on Sythe, his company, and an employee who stole a significant amount of money from me. I was advised to post my experience here, and I want to confirm that this is the right platform for such a discussion.

This story spans about four years and is quite scandalous, involving seduction, deception, betrayal, broken promises, nepotism, and the loss of a longstanding friendship. It centers around one of the top sellers on the site, his business operations, and the employee in question. Instead of addressing the theft and holding the employee accountable, the seller chose to do nothing and even promoted this individual to a more prominent role as a financial manager, which raises serious ethical concerns.

Despite my countless messages detailing everything that happened and the losses I endured, he refused to reply to any of my messages or acknowledge my concerns. When I attempted to share my experience with other employees on Discord, I was banned from all channels. I believe sharing this experience is crucial, as it sheds light on the integrity of the company and its leadership in handling serious issues like this.

I’ve reviewed the site’s rules but still need clarification on whether discussing matters of this nature is acceptable, considering that none of the misconduct directly involves Sythe. If I were to post it, what would be the most appropriate channel--Scams or General?

    I appreciate your help.

Can I post about scams and theft that happened elsewhere but involve Sythe members?

If it involves you or other people being scammed, then you would want to create a thread about it here:

    Report A Scammer

Remember to read the stickies before posting.

If there is a valid scam report offsite, we generally apply a DNT.
He is an example of this Diazz (off-site scam)

Thank you. Sadly, I don't have any reports like that. I understand it is unlikely that a penalty will be enforced. My aim is primarily to inform people so that they can decide for themselves.

Thank you for your response. I read that section, but I don’t have formal reports--only a verbal agreement. This issue is known among about six people, and the perpetrator has admitted to it. I have some texts suggesting deception, but I know this isn’t a court of law. My aim is to inform others so they can decide how to use the information. While I recognize anyone can make claims, I believe readers will see this as a case of con and theft by deception.

As long as there's reasonable proof of the claims I'd suggest writing up a proper report in the Report A Scammer section

Thank you; I will check that out. I should also mention that I wasn't a buyer, and this doesn’t involve a purchase from a seller. I was a longstanding friend of the owner and a former employee, and I had a personal relationship with the employee in question. The incident occurred during that time, and both the owner and the employee displayed shocking amounts of disregard, apathy, a lack of integrity, and criminal behavior.

Thank you for your reply. As I mentioned, my proof mainly consists of witnesses who have seen the perpetrator essentially confess. They may or may not want to come forward since they are also friends. I do have some texts, but they could be considered ambiguous to those not privy to our verbal exchanges. I believe the rules state that proof is needed to report a scam, which is why I didn’t post it immediately. My main objective is to share my story and allow people to decide for themselves how to use that information.

Thank you for your support! Over the past few years, I've spent countless hours writing down my thoughts and experiences, capturing both thought-provoking and unbelievable events. I've compiled enough material for a small novel. While some pieces are well-structured and profound, others are massive monologues that reflect the raw emotions of someone grappling with disbelief.

Currently, I'm working with ChatGPT to consolidate and create a cohesive story with a clear timeline, plot points, and themes. My goal is to make it engaging and hard to put down. Once it's complete, I'll also offer an MP3 format narrated by a captivating voice for those who prefer listening. Stay tuned for updates, and if there's enough interest, I'll share a teaser!

I want to be clear that I intend to make this as concise as possible without leaving out important details. This story is complex and spans several years, so omitting even minor details could make it difficult to understand without additional context. I’ll do my best to keep it brief while emphasizing the gravity of the events and leaving no doubt about the criminal actions of those involved.
