Is this game worth it?

So, call me sensitive if you want (zzz) but holy shit has this game gotten extremely toxic in the last few years, or is it just me?

Like I joined back in Feb 2017, so it's nothing to really praise or be like "wow beta player" at. But back then... it was so much more tame.

I don't play as much anymore, cos of a few permas, but it seems like every game you have someone flaming super hard or soft or hard inting. As in, people seem to care about the game less and less and Riot seems the same too - inting especially hardly goes punished unless it's high elo or a notable player/streamer - and toxicity is easy to get away with, even if you're encouraging suicide (too many people get away with that).

So my main question to you all who play it - is this even worth playing? Deadass, I used to play so much League and when I got perma'd it broke me, but now it doesn't even matter. I just play this game now because I own too many accounts from selling names (or trying to) and accounts that... I just feel like I have a commitment now to the game because of how much I "own".

But really, if I were to get rid of it all, would it be worth ever trying to pick up again? I wanna hear some more thoughts on this, so try to throw me your best serious replies please <: It just seems worthless and time wasting to try to dedicate any more time to this game, because you either have a bad game and thus no fun, you get inted, or you get hard flamed lmao.

 

I remember back when Australians didn't have their own server we all played NA, then we got the OCE servers and were so happy we didn't have to play with those toxic "Americans" anymore. Found out the toxic ones moved to OCE with us.

Totally understand what you mean with the toxicity, this is coming from EU servers too. Ruined the game for me to be honest, got to the point where 1 game was enough and just slowly stopped playing vastly due to the toxic players. The toxicity is heavy even in blind games. I think it's mainly due to more and more younger kids playing games at the age of 5+ being brought up in such a negative and influential society. Kinda like the way COD etc got rammed with children over time, slowly killing any game off that hoards of immature childish spoiled brats get their hands on. I played LoL before it was popular way back when their was only a NA server.

 

EUW is awful and has been for maybe a year or so? The other servers can be toxic too but nowhere near what I deal with on EUW.

+ soft inting / transfers influence high elo games way too much. If you're good you'll still climb but its not an enjoyable experience.

 

Yeah, I can hardly play a game of League anymore before it just gets... unbearable. Not fun. I adore Neeko and she'll always be my go-to main but holy fucking shit it's hard to even play a normal anymore to enjoy my favorite champion ever without... this shit.

You see Amei that's what I thought too my guy but. NA is nothing like it was in 2017. I get soft inted every other game in. fucking normals :x. It's getting really bad lmao, even pre 30 games are absolutely horrendous. Also lots of people saying LOTS of terrible shit. I've been on EUW and it's more so just pure retardation from my experience, but I agree it's worse. It's basically every game that someone will try to throw you a death threat or etc, yeah, but NA is doing this too, just not to the same extent. NA likes to focus on telling people to off themselves in my experience.
