Preperation

What are you guys currently doing to be prepared for the Wilderness, Staking and Free Trade? (I'm 99.9% positive it will be back a few days after the referendum, from quotes/etc.)

I'm currently 24/7 questing my med. level and pure, while botting my range tank and 1M/hour on my main.

I'm so excited, but it's really overwhelming. I need to bot 61-90 strength and 82-94 magic within two weeks now (which isn't too difficult), along with finishing up about 15 quests on my med. level.

I'm basically doing the same as you.
Questing and training my pure and the same with my ranged tank. since I already have $$ and I can buy more if needed.

 

I'm buying a VPS in a few days so I can bot all of my accounts at once.

 

haha, my pure was pretty much already done and don't want to get it on a watch list or anything for botting just in case the rumors of the mass-ban are true (although I highly doubt it, mite as well be safe). I have already fully quested a staking account Im building, and am a few days away from it being the stats I want, and a throw away account I had has been mining pure essence for money for the last 23 hours, and I don't plan on stopping it, LOL.

 

My goals for the next month:

- Finish maxing 60 attack pure (should be done by the end of February)
- 99 Range and Magic on range tank (Already 86 range, should be done in 3 weeks)
- Been botting 24/7 on my main, making about 700k/hour so I can get turmoil on my med. level
- Bot up a 99 attack, strength, defence, HP staker (113 combat, 1 prayer)

 

Just getting a mage staker ready... already 99 mage.. only hp left.

 

dang, thats pretty sick, and tbh can I ask a question? I pked plenty in the old wilderness with a mid level pure I had. I was melee, friend ranger. Now we have ags pures so I doubt we will have many problems in old wilde, BUT I never really staked at all in old wilde. I am building an account now that seems pretty beast when it comes to the limits most staked fights seem to have, I thought about since most people do not allow food, its all about doing more damage per second than the other guy does on you, so I designed my current and almost complete build around that concept.

My question is, how does staking go exactly outside of the combat? Like does it take awhile to find someone to stake a decent amount of gold, are people hi-score whores, if so I might have some problems. Currently when I duel people everyone duels me without even thinking, then get mad when I change into my real gear, LOL, but when theres alot of money on the line, will it be this easy? I normally always overestimate the intelligence level of most rs players, so maybe Im worrying for nothing, just wondering so I will be prepared to actually get duels with people, I think I can win alot of I can just convince people to duel with me, LOL.

 

I'm doing nothing. Just playing as i would if this update wasn't going to happen. lol

 

If you overestimate, you'll just be more prepared.

 

I'm runecrafting to make money for anything I need. I have all the levels I need already.

 

haha, good point I guess, I already have a few plans to persuade people to fight me, and if my staker is as successful as I think it will be, might be utilizing that nifty name changing system every month, wouldn't want to build up popularity now would I, who want's to fight a guy who is known for winning most of the time? lol suprise is my biggest facility, so my appearance will be very important, lol.

My main question still is this though, I know alot of people say that staking is good money, but in the old pre 2007 runescape, were dueling arenas full of people willing to stake alot of money? I mean just being able to nab a few 500k or 1 mil stakes would be fine for me, I mean they only last a few minutes anyways so if Im scoring a few hundred k each time with an occasional mil, I will be sitting pretty as far as bank goes, LOL.

I'm nowhere near ready. :\

I have too many accounts, if only I just picked one to focus on.

Have a maxed main, maxed med. level, nearly maxed range tank, new pure, etc.

 

sure, 75-20-75 build, maybe 60 range for dbow spec, 60 mage for teleports and fire blast if i need it,

head---helm of neizknot

hands---regen
ring---zerk
feet---d boots
shield---DFS
weapon---whip/dds/ss/gs

mite even get 78 attack for vls and also mite use veracs set occasionally
also, will most likely get 80 defense eventually if the new 80 def req armour coming out this month is worth it and If I have enough money to afford it. With it releasing after or right before FT coming back, I predict I will need ALOT of gold to get my hands on some.

 

I'm getting my defence staker ready. Got my DFS and bandos on it now. Also getting my range tank ready for old wilderness since my Summoning tank won't be of much use anymore. I also plan on giving the 200m on my main to a new account that I'll make if the update goes through on my project to making a Turmoil pure or Zerk pure w/ Turmoil. I hope Jagex follows through with this update, if they don't they are going to lose a lot more players for getting their hopes up. We are past the 1 mil mark for votes in the referendum. The rumor was Jagex was going to announce the outcome after 1 mil votes. However, it seems as if we will be waiting to January 14th to see what they got to say.

 

Botting 83-94 mage on my range tank and trying to get 95-99 range afterwards and trying to make cash. But also looking at possible merchanting opportunities of what to buy into and what to sell.

 

I'm just hoarding as much gp as I can.

Try to make some money when phats bottom out after the update.

 

hahaha, its like you read my mind determinate........lol I hope to also take advantage of the crazy rares market once the update hits hard, ; )
