Nope, it states that the ratio for the line describing Laptop 65 can be found to be of the general type f(x) = sqrt(x) with the red dot located at the time of his demotion. The function isn't derivable at the red point but that isn't the point.
Actually I was wrong. The awesomeness increase was just normal shit from other people in one thread till laptop showed up and put in some wannabe mod response n killed it.
It describes both phenomena well though.

 

so you're saying that over time (barring deleted posts) his awesomeness was constantly rising, approaching infinity (albeit in a slowing manner) until he was demoted, at which point the function changed into something like g(x) = -0.1x.
using this information, we can calculate the peak of his awesomeness, his current awesomeness, and the average.

first, what we know:
laptop was demoted 6 months ago, assuming his posts per day was about the same as now, he had
posts = ppd * time = 7.5 posts/day * 684-182.5 days = 3761 posts

therefore, the maximum value of his awesomeness was, just before his demotion, f(3761) = sqrt(3761) =~61.3.
immediately after demotion, his awesomeness PLUMMETED to g(3761) = -0.1*3761 = -376.1.
at the time of this post he is at g(5229) = -0.1*5229 = -523.

that's a *awesomeness of nearly 600 in a relatively short period of time. not good, man.

his average awesomeness is (excuse the shitty formatting of definite integral limits)
(integral of f(x) + integral of g(x)) / posts

(0∫3761 f(x) dx + 3761∫5229 g(x) dx) / 5229 =

You forgot to add the offset to g(x)

Now at the end of f(x) the line is 270 pixels above 0 and so 270px = 61.3
At the start of g(x) the line is 21 pixels above the line and so 21px = y
so 1px = 0.227 and so y = 4.767
Next we know that at y = 4.767 x = 3762 and that m = -0.1
as such we can use the point slope formula and get
y - 4.767 = -0.1(x - 3762)
y = -0.1(x - 3762) + 4.767
y = -0.1x + 367.2 + 4.767
y = -0.1x + 371.967

As such we know that his current level is -150.933 and so that with a definition of faggot being an awesomeness < 0, that laptop entered faggotry 1509 posts ago, or 201 days ago.
However, this is incomparable to Deathsnova and Fantasy Factory, who have reached y = &#8734; * -1, at a cardinality of &#1488;1 and &#1489;2, respectively

Either way that picture is ancient. I actually made it way before I even got promoted, and I was the only one who liked laptop at all. Or mabye that was a bit after.
