My main is around 100 combat and has 130 quest points. I am trying to get 99 attack, strength, defence and HP botting but I got banned when I botted stronghold. The place I was botting at previously had a low ban rate, and I was unaware that stronghold had a high ban rate.

When the temp ban is lifted, would it be safe to continue botting at low ban rate areas? I will stop botting once I'm 99 attack, strength, and defence.

Honestly I feel lucky that it wasn't a perm ban, but then again I don't have the 500+ hours it takes to reach 99 melee flats.

Lots of threads and answers about this question already.
Next ban after a 2 day is almost always a perm.

You said it yourself, you thought you were botting safe/in a low ban area, yet you still got caught.
So it really just shows, no matter how safe you are and what precautions you take, you can only REDUCE your chances of getting banned, not eliminate.

ONLY bot more on it if you're willing to take the risk of a perm ban on the account.

Copped a 2 day temp ban on my main botting stronghold. Should I keep botting?

I was going to bot my third account about 2-3 days ago and I had 2 accounts banned within 24 hours. The second account was banned in merely 10 minutes or less of game-play, therefore, I'm just going to hand-train this one. If you're just wanting to bot melee stats, why don't you just do NMZ. I don't have the time either, but rather than taking the chances on a 3rd account being banned, I'm just going to get 43 prayer and do NMZ.

Up until now, I have never been banned for botting. One thing Jagex does is host 'bot sweeps' from time to time, and after checking the Tribot forums, it seems like quite a bit of people have been getting banned recently and quite a bit of bot farms hit. If I were you, I would wait a week or so before you start back up.

If this is an account that is worth a lot of value and/or has a lot of meaning to you, then don't bot it at all anymore, if possible. When I bot, I bot 24/7 until I get the stats I desire and never bot on that account again. If I want something trained in the future, I'll either do it myself or pay somebody else as I'm not going to take the chances again. I feel like if you do it this way, rather than with breaks and a certain amount of hours per day, you're less likely to get caught. If you bot for a week straight and press you luck as is, you might be able to slip under the radar. However, if you bot only 10 hours a day with 2-3 hours worth of breaks for 3 weeks (which would only take a week of 24/7 botting) you're just expanding the time frame and the possibility of getting caught. Reason being, is most bot bans occur when someone reports you, which is why some places are better than others. When someone reports you, this basically flags the account and leads to Jagex further investigating the situation.

As for the difference between RS07 and pre-eoc (I'm not sure how the botting is in RS3), botting is much more difficult to get away with. Look at it this way... If a group of protesters are hosting a 'pot smoking day' downtown on 4/20 in a state where it's illegal to smoke marijuana, would you go? Well, what if 300,000 people were going, so you decide to take your buddy and a rolled up blunt because you figure that the streets and sidewalks are going to be so filled, what's the odds of yourself getting caught? (after all, you won first place in every tournament for track during high school) So, you decide to go because you figure as long as you're quicker than the other 299,999 people around you, you should be good. Now, what if only 3,000 people decide to show up, are you going to stay? Probably not, because there's over 2,500 law enforcement bodies and you don't want to take the chance. Even if you are faster than just about everyone there, you may get trapped or ganged up on. The whole point of this story is that out of 70+ worlds, there's only about 80-100 people per world at night (excluding world 1 & 2) and the odds of you getting caught are much higher, compared to pre-eoc when there would be more than 100,000 people on at one time.

Nonetheless, bot safe and more importantly, bot smart. Good luck buddy.

I wouldn't as it means your next is probably a perm.
