Is account sharing allowed now?

I mis-clicked on the report option earlier today. I noticed there is no longer an option to report for account sharing. Was the rule removed? If so can someone please link me to a thread of it or something.

It's not allowed, and never will be. It discourages people to create new accounts (brings in more profit for them), causes problems in regards to ownership, and has integrity issues.

 

They use the word 'should' so it's kind of a loose term.
Like you can, but they don't recommend it.

 

You'll rarely ever get banned for it. The only thing you risk is getting it locked I suppose but that's due to security

 

Pretty sure account sharing on almost any site/game will never be a "should do" thing. The risk of getting in trouble for it is pretty low though

 

It is allowed, at least I think it is.

 

Pretty sure only thing that can happen is the account lock, You should not have a issue if your original owner though.

 

It is allowed, what i know of

 

They aren't too fussed about account sharing (they lock/mute the account for like 2 days ), unless you're doing it for xp only (for hiscores rank )

 

i've been account sharing for 10 years, once i got banned for a few days in like 2007 and ever since than, nothing. my friend only logs in from time to time to make some money

hopefully its never aloud it wouldnt ever make sense if it was allowed

 

im pretty sure i remember it being made allowed and you can interact between the accounts, if not im sure a large amount of rs should be banned lol

 

Not to long ago one of the staff members mentioned it no longer being against the rules, but rather a do at your own risk thing.

 

I asked them that on ticket they said it's not recommended.

 

Only because of the streamers (b0aty) it is common knowledge he has access to other peoples accounts, and they have to his, they aren't exactly going to ban someone who attracts a lot of players to runescape. So they had to bend the rule, it's quite sad actually.
But yeah it's not bannable - UNLESS! It is abused to gain ranks on the highscore, - this shouldn't be an issue as even if you do none of you are gonna reach the top page on rs.
