is a anchor worth it on a pure?

so im a 60 att pure but almost done questing and wwondering before i get prayer if its worth getting. i would have to get 52 prayer a with the quest etc. Should i get it or stay 33 prayer?

 

I don't think it is worth it. There are plenty of other weapons that hit hard. The spec on the barrelchest anchor isn't that great and you'd have to combo it with something like a g-maul to get kills.

 

I wouldn't recommend it. One of my mates built an account for anchor pking and regretted it.

would you say 33 prayer or 43 is better then?

 

I often don't like suggesting things like this to people as people's experiences are all different.

IMO - I'd build to be 33 and if you don't enjoy that, you can always level up.

A lot of old guides used to recommend it but I don't. It is just outclassed nowadays.

 

I would only get it if you plan on getting smite. As for your prayer issue if it doesn't level up your combat then just leave it but if you can get extra prayer levels without leveling I'd go ahead and level it up to whatever it can be.

 

If you edge pk, stay 33 prayer. If you intend to brid/pk in multi by all means go for the anchor/52 pray.

 

Its a powerful weapon but not very fun IMO.

 

If you combo pking then sure you do or when you're outa spec

 

I'll only be doing edge Pking until I possibly make this pure the main account I play which then I might join a clan and hybrid
