It's not setup to connect to only one server I hope?

 

Atm it is, i can easily change it though.

 

Instead of having so many boxes, you should make use of commands. The only box you should have available is message box and nick, although the latter is not even present on most clients.

And the music player seems like it's set at one song at a time? I know that this is supposed to be more of a chat client than music player, but maybe use playlists or directories to get music? And I know the music player is appearing like that because that's how wmp 11 looks like, but it looks out of place, with the rest of the window being the default Windows scheme.

It looks like there is a lot of basic functionality that you would expect from any IRC client, it looks very messy, and just "thrown together", not to mention I don't think this client will appear properly if made fullscreen/size changed.

The "internet" functionality, nice and helpful at times, isn't entirely necessary, as I'm sure people would rather use their main browser over a built-in one, especially if it's going to be based on IE.

Two status bars? Unneeded.

Yeah, he's actually trying to learn, it's good. AND he's not an idiot, so you can explain something extremely badly and he still understands.

Also, he can use google, which is nice.

Anyway... enough praise...

Keep up the work and soon your IRC client won't be half bad.

I plan on making the GUI nicer to the eyes, blends in and everything fits. Maybe later. And i'll make the Tab's a choice, if the user doesn't want, it will remember they dont want. Thanks again!
