Iq & Eq

Need some insight from some of the smarter members of sythe.org

So what is more important IQ or EQ? what is more beneficial? Also can someone explain to me what they both fully mean and maybe some examples would be helpful.

 

EQ is emotional intelligence quotient. IQ is your intelligence quotient.

Basically, scientists have found an "average" level of both EQ and IQ. They then determine your level of EQ/IQ, divide it into the "average," and multiply it by 100. Someone with an IQ of 150 is, according to this, 150% "smarter" than one with an IQ of 100.

However, in real life, intelligence is seldom the only thing involved. Emotions cloud intelligence; they enhance it; they even define it in some cases. EQ is much more important than IQ.

If someone says "LULZ MY IQ IS LIKE 180 BRAH," I'd just roll my eyes. I personally don't stake much claim with the power of IQ.

Nah, because 99% of those are a hoax. I took the test when I was 14 and got an IQ of like 176.... That's atrociously high. I might be smart, but I'm not that smart.

The only way to get it anywhere near reliable is to have a trained psychologist administer the test to you, unfortunately.
