    Thoughts on the pixel 2?

I personally think it looks terrible. Nothing really amazing that stands out in terms of features. Google mocked Apple for removing the 3.5mm jack, but they've removed it too with the pixel 2.

Obviously The camera is amazing, but apart from that, I'd much rather pay an extra $100 and get the note 8. Heck, I'm actually excited by the Huawei mate 10, I reckon it'll be a great phone.

Personally I have airpods and love them, I have no use for a headphone jack. Assuming the "pixel pods" are on par, I think the phone itself looks great.
In my own experience, every galaxy device I've ever had ended up turning into a lag machine. I had the galaxy s4-s6. I'm assuming TouchWiz is at fault for that, and the pixel is running stock android- a major plus in my perspective. If I were to jump ship to android as of today the pixel is what I'd pick up. (only the XL though, the bezels on the regular 2 look a little dated)

Samsung have actually completely cleared up the clustered touchwiz. When the s8 and s8+ released, you could see how much cleaner touchwiz was, it's closer to stock than it's ever been. I've had the s8+ since release, haven't had any lag issues whatsoever.

Google's phones obviously are usually the best because it runs stock android, I'm just not a fan of the design, nor the specs, it's the same really, nothing too special. I'm interested in what Huawei release, they've been releasing some solid phones recently.

Usually my samsung phones lasted a solid year before they really showed their age. I don't know how long you typically keep a phone but if you have it another year from now I'm curious as to how it held up.
But again, I think the pixel is aiming at the minimalist crowd who isn't into all those extra features that usually don't get used.
