NHL Playoff Predictions

We'll today was the final day of the regular season for the NHL. The first round playoff match ups have been set, it looks like this:

Western Conference:
1. San Jose Sharks vs 8. Colorado Avalanche
2. Chicago Blackhawks vs 7. Nashville Predators
3. Vancouver Canucks vs 6. Los Angeles Kings
4. Phoenix Coyotes vs Detroit Red Wings

Eastern Conference:
1. Washington Capitals vs 8. Montreal Canadians
2. New Jersey Devils vs 7. Philadelphia Flyers
3. Buffalo Sabres vs 6. Boston Bruins
4. Pittsburgh Penguins vs 5. Ottawa Senators

Who do you think is gonna be the Western and Eastern conference champions and who will take home the Stanley Cup?

I think it will be the Detroit Red Wings going to the Stanley Cup finals for the third year in a row against the Washington Capitals, and the Wings will take it in 6.

Penguins.. Can't go wrong with crosby.

 

I go no real favourites in NHL but I'm hoping Boston will go far since they have Tuukka Rask who has played an awesome season.

 

Im an avid vancouver fan, havent missed a game in forever. They are an extremely promising team, 6+ 25 goal scores, tons of career years, League MVP, Luongo has proven to be amazing in the playoffs. They could make the finals, but its unlikely as the team is riddled with injuries to key players. We are missing half our D core currently, and their is plenty of speculation that players are playing injured. Go Canucks Go!

Detroit is a strong team, but their goaltending is far to shaky, im expecting an early round exit, or a 2nd round exit.

Im expecting Pheonix, Ottawa , Nashville, and Colordao to upset their oppenents.


Also im expecting Washington to be eliminated in the first round. jose theodore? are you kidding me.
