have people forgotten?

I think that people have forgotten how HARD it is to level your runescape account without bots/buying gold/hiring people to train it for you..

I have NEVER used bots, anyone who reads my posts can see that...I barely ever bought gold and that was a long time ago...so the bot nuke had no effect on me...but I think that people have forgotten how hard it is to level an account without bots....now-a-days you need a maxed account to even be considered decent...the people that realize how hard it is, normally post a topic here talking about how they are quitting...

Don't respond if you're still using bots (like RiD), desperately trying to hold on to the past...

ok, let me clear this up...OBVIOUSLY it is NOT "HARD" in the sense of difficulty I am talking about it hard as in it takes time, and effort (to keep at it) to get these levels...You can't just set up a bot anymore and go about your business and your levels are there when you get back..

 

Skills are easy to do manually, they just take time.
I admit, however, that Jagex have made it easier to level stats with new methods of training (e.g Ivy) and less clicking (e.g string all in fletching).

 

yes, I agree with what you're saying...I should probably rephrase what I meant...its not "hard" but yes, it takes time...which means you yourself have to be doing it..which makes it boring/time consuming and therefore "hard"..

I basically meant, that it takes a lot of time and effort to level things up when you're doing it yourself. You can't just set a bot and go out and come back and boom your levels are there anymore.

 

It's not hard, just takes ages.

like cutting yews
i like the game for pking and staking
i will keep playing this game until bots are gone

 

I paid like $15 for someone to get 100k mining xp. There are some skills that I doubt I'll ever be able to manually train again. I'll just go insane trying..

 

Ive trained nearly every skill and no skill is hard but they all are boring. Though I did bot, the bot nuke didn't have a.big affect on me either.

 

Jagex has made runescape into a game where it requires a lot of grinding. I am sure everyone finds the game fun but do not want to spend that much time into it doing the same thing over and over again. Its not hard, just repetitive and time consuming.

This may sound weird, but since generally most bots are gone (with the exception), I really hope Jagex steps their game up ultimately and stops most RWTing and all other bots.

What truly demotivates me from playing RS is the unfair advantages of this. It was fair back when bots were available to everyone (yet extremely boring).

If you're into playing RS for the fun, no bots/RWT is the cure.

 

I had come back to bot, to be able to regain money I lost without having to do anything. Shortly after the bot nuke was announced, so, I decided to play but I was going to buy gold.

Since then I tackled 99 cooking just for the hell of it and got some fletching levels.

Its kind of a shame, I feel like I missed out on a free 200 or so levels with atleast 100m+ in profit...

 

I don't even attempt to train skills manually anymore. botting has ruined my drive to get good stats manually.

 

I got 1.8k without bots. 'Tis quite tough.

 

I always botted after 2009, now I realize just how long it takes, and how I literally can't sit their and train a skill anymore. I do daily farm runs and I fish while I watch netflix sometimes. I can't imagine myself ever getting another legit 99.

 

Without bots skilling is so boring and time consuming.

Its not that hard. I've done all my skills manually without bots, and its taken up alot of my time but it really wasn't all that hard. It is hard to compete with all the high levelled/maxed accounts though... RS is such an "end game" sort of game now, where to be successful you need to be maxed, stinking rich etc. because everybody got ahead during the years of botting.

Years and years ago when I played RS it was much different. 99 stats were much more rare, and very respectable. People also had NOWHERE near as much cash as they do now, its a bit ridiculous actually how everybody has billions and billions of GP these days.
