Invest in staking?

I was thinking of investing some money into a new account and make it a maxed ranged staker with 99 range and constitution. I was thinking of investing $93 into it.

Pros:

• Stand to make alot of money daily
• Won't take too long to do
• Will also be fun when not staking e.g. get chaotic crossbow and mercenary's gloves and go PKing

Cons:

• Could possibly get cleaned
• Could get wiped/banned (botting)

What are your views on this? Thankyou.

 

What sort of staker are you thinking about making? Since you said it wont take long, I guess your not going for a maxed staker?

think you would be better off making a maxed boxer since most people in the DA box. Also the chances of getting wiped if only transfering 55$ of gold is basically none.

That would take alot longer though, and would mean a higher chance of being banned.

If I was selling gold every so often, the chance would go back up.

Should be worth it over the long run and low risk of getting wiped, I transfered a few 100m's a while back with no hassle.

Honestly, I'd advise you to not do it. Unless you are staking people who have lower stats than yourself it's 50/50. That means over an extended period of time you'll simply break even. Remember staking is all luck, it's so easy to get cleaned, yes you might make some money over the short term but it is in no way a long term investment of any kind.

 

This is the sort of negative feedback I was after. I knew there would be something, I even said it look:

If you know what you are doing, you can sway the odds to winning. However, if they do the same as you (which most people do) then it's 50/50 like you said.

 

you can also try methods such as doubling once you lose for example.

start with an X amount of bet and double if you lose so for example.

X-2X-4X-8X-16X etc.

P.S: Sry if im being too vague and also i have gone on streaks of losing 8 in a row so dont stake more then your willing to lose, but also you can go on 8 match winning streaks as well, its all about money management

And much can go wrong like you getting wiped though unlikely.
You could get rolled back or most likely cleaned due to more experienced players and bad luck.

You will always run the risk of being cleaned, if you plan on selling lots of gold you should buy I think it's 'R2Pleasants' guide on how to not get wiped? Was reading the thread the other day but I don't really sell, only recieve so it didn't interest me but could be worth checking out.

Staking is dying slowly so I wouldn't I made a staking pure and theres no one to stake.

This pretty much summarizes why you shouldn't.

I'd also like to add that unless you KNOW you have a better than 50/50 shot (ie glitches or something), then 50/50 is the very best you can do.
