Wow, that honestly is fucking sexy, i love how the text goes behind the planet. The only bad part is the smudging (I think) on the left that covers up some of the planet,and maybe you could make the BG look more like space, make the star brighter and such. other then that nice.

I don't really think the border is needed. The stars are really close together which makes it look more like noise. Don't really know anything else to say, probably because it's nice and simple.
Good job.

 

I usually don't do border, but i felt like it this one needed it ...
and it is noise xD .. didn't think people would see it as stars .. I'll reduce it a bit, and I'll remove some of the radial blur ( which looks like smudging )

V2 looks considerably better
Lighting could still be improved though- a deeper yellow/orange glow as opposed to the current white one which makes it look a little washed out.

i think you should darken it more and add some more effects.

 

Why would you darken it? The character is right behind a shining moon.

 

The thing I don't like about it is how the render overlaps the sharpened background, and isn't sharpened enough. Just try to blend it in more. It looks fake. Just fix that, and it'll be good. That's about it. Good job as usual.

The only bad part about the border is probably the top of masterchief's head, where it creates a 2px border, so the contrast's pretty high (meaning your eyes float towards there). It's nice, but the depth could be well improved, and knowing you, the composition feels a bit empty.

Nice one mate, chief needs a slightly better blending in on the left, but otherwise the effects look tight to me Colours could be better I think, but looks fine anyways.

 

There are plenty of good GFX'ers here on this site, and if you feel that way before, why are you still here if i may ask ?? ... if you think no one knows gfx what good does it come for you to check out the graphics section,
