Internet goes on and off all the time.

    Hello
I have a problem with my internet connection.
It goes on and off all the time, but the weird part is, it only goes off so i can't connect to any websites, but i can still chat with people on steam, msn, skype etc.
When it happens i also can't find any gameservers in online games. It does it both on vista and win 7. Both legit versions.
What can the problem be? If you need any info, just ask :)

    Thanks

Can I ask the name of your Anti-Virus/Firewall?

Are you using a router? I've always had trouble with routers doing weird things to my connections

Whats your network setup and firewall situation? When the internet is working, open CMD, (Windows Key + R, Type CMD, hit enter) and type "ipconfig /all". Then scroll down to where it says "DNS Servers" and write those numbers down. Then, when its not working do the same thing and see if the DNS server has a different IP. If it does, thats most likely the problem and I can help you fix it.

Bullguard, but it happens on all of my 3 PC's, + itouch and iphone, so i doubt it's something with the firewall or anti virus :)

Yes I'd say it's your router.
Have you tried to reset it and reconfigure it?
If all fails, give it a go and PM me if you need help.

I'll give you the best tip possible. Ring your service provider. They should be 24/7 if they're a big enough company and they can fix any problem. I once rang them and the problem wasn't they're fault - I had the wrong settings on my computer.
