Going to try and recover my rogue.

back in november this kid hacked my rogue. and merged it with a battle.net account. i never got my money for it and it was my stupid mistake, ive been so lazy and never tried getting it back, but now that im more bored then all can be, il try getting it back once their phonelines open, any ideas on any information about the account that i should digup in the meantime?
Found my BC CD key and my WOTLK CD key, trying very hard to find my original WoW cd key, kinda hard when you have like 4 different Vanilla WoW boxes.

 

Everything you just said about the old authorization keys, plus the details where you live, your IP, email, and payment methods will get your account back. If it doesn't work, then there's nothing else you can do.

 

alright, well i remember documenting where i lived during what content, i lived in cali and moved to ohio recently so that should workout hopefully, going to call later tonight

 

I have recently gone through this myself, and its not fun. Things they will ask for:
CD keys
Original Login Name
Billing info
IP
Email
Other accounts
Creation date
ISP

If you get the correct name registered to the account and get the secret answer to the account correct, which is un-changeable if I recall. You will get the account back, worst case scenario you need to fill out a recovery form or show them your drivers licence/passport. If you are under 13 (which is the age req. for playing wow) get your parents drivers licence and that should be efficient enough. Good Luck on getting it back!

As far as characters go, you can't wait 6 months to recover them, apparently Blizzard over writes information after a short period of time, so then it makes it unable for them to find information to help you get those back.

Now accounts are different. You should be able to recover the account as long as you remember the secret question and answer which I don't believe you can change for the length of the account. You should be able to call billing and they'll ask for this simple information.

I've not play in over a year, but that's what I remember.

A photo ID with your name and address that of which is listed on the account along with a battle.net merger form signed and dated by you will work. Also a vanilla key too but BC/wotlk might work as well.

Never ended up getting to this, but i will now, one problem i dont know if i specified is that this account was merged to someone elses battle.net account, im not going to bother trying to recover if its impossible for me to get it back, if its possible to recover my account on someone elses battle.net account, please tell me, so i don't waste my time.

 

well due to the guy scammed you, i suggest waiting 2 months, you might recover it with cataclysm on it, check if the toon is active on armory

 

its been about a year.

 

Yeah, just call up and answer their questions, explain everything.
