Ok, where do I start..
I've sold this guy 2 accounts if I remember right.
Helped him with multiple recoveries when accounts got locked, banned or in this case, scammed.
Its been years since I sold them and still, I help him when he needs.
In this case account got scammed and transfered to a Jagex Launcher.
I sent 2 recovery atempts because first one didnt go through but on the 2nd one it did go through.
They couldnt revert Jagex account to legacy one so they transfered the account onto my own Launcher which uses same email as the one I messaged them from.
If there was a way to remove this account from my Launcher I would.
Now Im at fault that account ended up on my Launcher and Im the one who has to look for solutions.
If I didnt send the 2nd recovery atempt and didnt get the account back, that would be it. Because if I remember right, the original owner is responsible for account recoveries and helping the seller in cases like these for 2 years after sale.
The account would be lost to the scammer and that would be it. Now that I helped him AGAIN and spent time sending those request get awarded with a report. FCKING AWESOME.
I want to sell my Launcher and make at least some $ for the time spent on accounts.
I was thinking if at best I get 1k for all accounts on the Launcher which has almost a maxed main I would send him like 100$ to compensate. (EVEN TGHOUGH I FCKING SHOULDNT).
Fcking pitiful to ask that much for 2268 total main. AND 2k total maxed zerker. I would be left with 900$ in my name.
SO please, Zulu. Tell me what should I do in a situation like this.

This is correct. However, you did choose to assist him with the recovery which was successful and you imported the account to your own Jagex account, so now you have his original payment for the account and the account itself.


This is quite an unfortunate situation but due to the account being imported to your Jagex launcher, you will need to refund McCune the original purchase price of the account. The original purchase price was 315m 07 in June of 2021, which at this time gold rates were .47/m, which means you will need to refund McCune no less than $148.05.

Please let me know when the refund has been issued.

We're unable to come to an agreement on the gold price. I told him when I go to sell the GP I can only get .185 via crypto

He wants me to accept his gold at a value of .24513

I've explained to him I need to get crypto to purchase a new account and we're unable to come to an agreement. He's unable to send crypto. Can we have a mod give us a GP value since Insaidas and I cannot agree on one?

@Insaidas - did McCune agree to accept 07 gold as payment before you purchased the gold? Do you also have a receipt/screenshot proof for purchasing the gold at the rate of .245/m?

@Insaidas based on the screenshots you've provided it appears that you purchased 200m 07 today for .189/m.


Unless you can provide proof of purchasing the rest of the gold at a higher rate, you will need to refund McCune $148.05, or the equivalent in 07 gold at the rate of .189/m (783m 07).

Since there was no gold rates discussed prior to the agreement of accepting 07 gold as payment - and the fact that @Insaidas assisted with the account recovery even though it was outside of the warranty period, I think it is fair to allow the rate at which the gold was purchased (£0.189/m = $.245/m) which would be the 604.285m 07 originally offered.

McCune / @Insaidas, I apologize for the confusion on my part, but please let me know when the 604.285m 07 has been refunded.
