Thoughts on the random?

Personally, i think it's a bit time consuming and a waste of time. 3xp per goblin and nothing gained from killing them.

 

I don't see where this random came from? Jagex must have had a brain fart because this is just worthless, effortless and useless there's really no meaning for these goblin raids? At least none that I can think of.

Hopefully there's some story or a rare item involved.

 

Did I miss something? What random event? ^_^

 

I think it's just for a bit of fun to keep the community happy, it'd be a decent clan skill/kill & chill event.

 

I don't think the community is too thrilled to have an event you put time into and receive no reward.

 

I killed a wave of them just to be sure. Jagex has mentioned released some rares through community events.

 

They're not going to release any rares until the summer.

I noticed that, with the goblins just east of Varrock, the wood it bots seem to get attacked by multiple goblins.. Hey it could be one of their anti bottling things? But other than that, it's quite pointless but nevertheless it's quite entertaining for people skilling etc within the banks.

 

you can't even get xp from it so whats the point?...

 

I didn't even think about that as a possibility.. Good point, it could be an anti-bot tactic.
