Infraction for commenting on a report thread.

Hey guys!

I just have a few questions, I received an infraction awhile ago due to regrettably posting on a report thread I wasn't directly involved with. I witnessed a scam happen and felt like I should comment my side as I thought it could help with the investigation, not knowing fully the mistake I was making by posting.

Are these infractions permanent or temporary?

Will it be on my account forever?

It will show up on your account forever, but the warning point goes away after 30 days. Unless you reach 5 concurrent warning points these old warnings have no impact on your account.

Almost all users have warnings, and some users, like @video, have dozens of them. In short, don't worry about it, just please do not post on reports again!
