    TrustWho Verification Implementation

There are a few buy/sell/trade sites that use this method of verification and while it doesn't 100% weed out scammers, it does help quite a bit knowing that there are users out there willing to verify their address, full name, phone number, photo ID, etc..

Not sure if it's been mentioned before but I wouldn't doubt that a TW implementation would do any harm. I'm not too sure on the legistics around it but you can find out more at trustwho.com and contact Marcus himself. He's a great guy and is all about transaction safety!

Seems like alot more work to the mods/admins. Alot of people on sythe are under 13 who dont want to give out their location for safety purposes.

Location is being given to a trusted LLC, a company. It's like going in for a background check.

Yes it would most likely be a bit of work, but may cut down on scamming.

Me and Atriall both come from the same website, and we have been friends for years, and i beleive his idea will 100% help.

THe website we come from, TrustWho Verification is the reason that there are not many scammers.

I'm trying to figure out how exactly this would help reduce the amount of scammers...

Also.. isn't it illegal to be requesting a minor's personal information without consent from his or her guardian?

This. All TrustWho does is make sure the person isn't using a stolen PayPal or Credit Card.

Hence reducing fraud? If a minor is signing up, as stated, it's requested that the guardian is present.

12-13 year olds are the reason people are scamming, they are young minded and think that internet scamming isn't the same as stealing. Scamming on the internet is fraud, which is illegal as is stealing in the "real world."

If you aren't interested in trying to lower the amount of scammers in the community and trying to help fellow members, why wouldn't you support?

There are quite a few sites who use TWV, and I will tell you they have A LOT less scammers.

Most scammers are young, who don't care about the offence and punishment of it, and admins/mods have too much work allready. So no, bad idea.

Point proven, immaturity at it's finest. I'm not saying ever youngin' is out here to steal. I'm generalizing by saying that most younger teens see stealing online as a freebie.

Also, you may want to read! I generalized it from 12-13, so don't pull the trigger too fast!

Very true, especially when the community is younger.

Knowing know the info given, I agree.. too much of a hassle and little point as most people aren't able to get it.

By generalizing it like that you make people like me lose respect because you automatically assume that because im 14, that I want to steal. That is why people my age can barley get jobs, because of your assumption

Generalizing like that? It's the cold hard truth, I can bet you the majority of an older audience isn't looking to steal because often maturity will kick in and we know right from wrong, younger people often don't.

You're making yourself look like a fool by defending a lost cause.

Also, fighting against my own idea? No, it's called not being ignorant and accepting defeat.. another thing most youngins' can't accept or do. I have now realized that the majority of this community is a lot younger than others I am on.
