Temp bans for Macroing are back?

I still thought they were just doing perms still. One of my accs got perma banned 3 days ago, but if there doing temps again thats great.

 

Well he has a picture and it doesn't look edited. I hope it's true.

 

Hmm could I use that information for an appeal? Telling them that I did macro, but only tried it out and got caught and that I think a 14 or 21 day ban is warranted?

 

I always thought they decided on the length of the ban by the severity of the macro.

Ie: Botting a 99 combat skill at green drags = Perm
Botting 99 fletching with willows = Temp

 

I sure as hell hope they're temp again, though I was perm banned on Saturday for macroing.

 

I am suiciding if there are temps again looking for about a 40hour bot

Lol, I never saw the point of the first temp ban session. Maybe they wanted to lasso a ton of perms when they switched to perms unannounced? Who knows.

 

The thing is, my theory behind the on and off punishments for macroing (constantly switching between temporary and permanent) is that Jagex are trying to gather as much information as they can on botters as to improve their detection system - once the permanent bans came BACK the first time, Lo behold! Huge Mass Bannings at popular botting locations! They bring the temps back in order to encourage botters to do their thing even more, heck I'm sure they'd love it if you suicided, as the data they can get from your working patterns would be used to ban you, and hundreds of others, later in the future

 

I think that jagex only temporarily bans players that have either not abused botting very much or have played for a long time. And for the accounts that have majorly botted skills to 99 for example probably recieve the permanent ban.

indeed i agree with this.. i mean they dont temp ban you for no reason.. they just want info so they can perm mass ban next time..

I don't wanna get TOO excited, because it's just my luck to bot hardcore on my 134, 2100+ total and get b& the first day they go back to perms....
