empty box claims on sythe?

What happens if I sell an ITEM to a Sythe member who is secretely a scammer and claims an empty box arrival?

How do mods/admins investigate this matter?

Of course, I would no doubt include tracking, insurance, and signature confirmation delivery. I don't believe that insurance would cover a empty box claim does it?

 

Something like this happened in the past with Pockets.

Video film yourself wrapping the item up, doing a recorded delivery and then posting it. Then you have definite proof that the item has been posted from you.

 

I suppose filming myself packing the contents in the box, sealing it with tape would be definite proof but what about the recorded delivery part?

I don't think doing a recorded delivery would be necessary but maybe a 2-3 minute session where I use the camera and inspect every aspect detail of the box and handing it right to the Post Office man.

I wish tamper-proof boxes where only certain areas can be cut open. Think of it as a steal metal box or similar material.

 

You don't have to do recorded delivery. It just pretty much almost 0s the chance of someone messing with it at the post office provided packaging is done right and it just proves that the item has been delivered. That way the supposed scammer can't say "yeah my thing never arrived". If you have recorded delivery, it's proof right there that it has been delivered.

 

What if the seller sends an empty box and says one of the post officers stole the item?

I think the safest bet would be to record yourself packaging item in box and then handing it the mailman or something and then keep videoing it leave your place.

That's probably your best bet.

 

Wrap it up tight and do recorded delivery and that won't happen unless your post office is in Nigeria or somewhere like that.

Yeah, this. Basically proof that it is packaged up tightly and then given to the mail-man / posted through the postbox.
