    Business Venture

Hello, welcome to this thread. The objective of this is to become the foundation of the building of my business, and the beginning of the search for a partner in certain aspects. I am not looking for a partner in the way of financial support, but more so someone who can offer advice on products and a large array of things, and depending of the support and guidance they offer, the would receive a health slice of the profit (Revenue – Fixed/Variable Costs). Advice is taken on all aspects of this project, from my plan, website name, website development, and which website host to use. This is not an extensive list, and help offers regarding all other aspects will be taken largely into consideration.

I have between $4000 and $9000 USD as a base starting for this business, and what I am hoping to require is something that can turn over upwards of 1k a month in profit. I am willing to provide unto and between 30-50% of this profit to a co-developer or co-developer(s). Basically you will be an employee of mine, and receive commission in regards to the net profit.

The product that I will be produce/buying has not been finalised or announced, and further input, preferably experienced would be taken greatly.

On this thread I will monitor progress, and inform Sythe.org, the changes and developments within my business plan.

    Checklist:
    1. Business Name []
    2. Business Item/Idea []
    3. Partner/Co-Developer []
    4. Website []
    5. Social Media Exposure []
    6. Ebay []

    Gold selling website.
Hire a website developer to make something fresh and catchy. Start just selling RSGP, expand into other games when you turn a nice profit with RSGP. So don't name it such as 'RS GOLD 4 U'.
Find a nice way to make money and hire a script writer to make you a private script. Hire a VPS that can run 10+ bots, all running your private script.

No, the gold selling market is so saturated you have to turn so much product that the effort isn't really worth the profit margin. Not to mention the overhead that it takes to keep a gold selling shop going isn't really worth it either because there are so many variables that can mess you up. Dropshipping items for China is both low effort and low overhead. You don't have all of the extra variables such as script writers, bots, game updates, and VPS costs. What you are looking to do, I am sure you are aware, is to MinMax. Meaning minimizing your effort, running costs, and potential problems and that maxes your profit.

Or you can do a t-shirt selling business. I have always wanted to start one of these but I am not a social media maven and don't have the start up cash. What you do is have a designer or two that can do some really cool artwork that can hit into a niche in the market (ie. various music cultures or pop phenomena) and then push it hard on social media. Most of the time all you need is a blog and use one of the many free t-shirt markets.

If you plan on making a business on eBay, a Business name and Website isn't entirely necessary. Once your reputation/feedback is high and the products you intend to sell are of high demand, Social Media Exposure is also not a compulsory requirement.

Before you can begin a business, you must know what you want to sell before thinking of anything else and also how you're going to obtain the products.
I'm going to assume you want an online business. That in mind, you'll definitely need a reliable distributor who can manage the production of products as well as postage & handling.

^You could easily start one of these on eBay. If you have a shop or a store in your area that can make custom shirts (of any kind) then that could be the start of your venture, given if you consider making a T-shirt selling business. Business can easily expand and develop on the way with more products to add in your business.

You gotta figure out what you wanna sell first in order to start searching for a distributor :)
Should make a list and see what is a good sales product and what has good/high demand.

If you want to break into the t-shirt business I can offer you a lot of advice. The bulk-selling business I know some about, but not a treasure trove of knowledge. Hit me up with a PM sometime.

What I've contemplated doing was creating a Twitter account and mimicking a specific sport that offers trendy sayings, hash tags, and such. Similar to what #Wheeling Problems does, I would Google them to research their twitter. Your sayings will be re-tweeted, your followers will increase, and it wouldn't cost you a dime. The profit comes in once you create t-shirts and other apparel that can be delivered to several countries e.g. Canada, United States, England, etc. There's one particular shirt that I've asked a Canadian friend to order for me that reads, "Look Good, Feel Good, Wheel Good." Honestly there's profit to be made if you can make a name for yourself (no pun intended) whilst supplying accurate lingo to the specific sport. It doesn't have to be a sport such as hockey or any sport, however sports are a likely topic of interest.

Is there a market for fishing shirts? Possibly with catch sayings like: the bugger shirts.

    One example would be...

Fishing on her birthday? Hey she'll have another one.

Honestly, probably not the type of crowd you will be going for in the t-shirt market on the internet. People generally like a few kinds of t-shirts: Pop culture, funny, and band tee/band tee type designs. Fishing t-shirts are for older people, because - while I enjoy fishing - I wouldn't wear a fishing t-shirt. It kind of makes you look like a redneck.

I'd just like to post saying good luck finding someone who has the commercial creativity and is looking to share his golden ideas for a 2nd to bottom spot.

In all honesty, your best bet is to think of something big yourself and find a way to make it work. You will know when you have something when in theory it works, take it from someone who has been there and made alot, good luck!

:) Thanks for the feedback, I have my own ideas and have since started selling and buying on ebay. Made 102.50 last week.

Any further ideas, I am keen to hear them.

Oh and I think its pathetic that 2000$ Donators are treated like shit for a signature infraction.

Curious to what exactly have you decided to buy and resell?
Can PM if you don't feel like publicly revealing.

I invested some money into buying a large stock of screen protectors mainly for the iPhone5, Galaxy3 ect. Because Christmas just past, plenty of kiddies got them and hence needed a protector :p

Brought close to 1k for each phone @ 0.05c/each. And I sell for 2$ per pack of 3 inclusive of postage to anywhere in Australia. (50c) So I am 1.15 per.

I just ship every second day. and demand is high, really high.

This is similar to what LAD Bible have done in the UK. They have simply created a website and advertise (LADvertise) on facebook with funny captions etc etc. They sell merchandise and make a high profit.
