Explanation of the trade: viewed his thread on the forum on selling gp. added and sent him a message on discord to proceed with trade. agreed to 500m07 for .32/m... sent eth to address.. shortly after the funds were sent, he deleted all of the messages on discord and blocked me.

How they scammed: received my payment and did not fulfil delivery

Yes because I updated the #numbers and didn't update my thread, but that is not me. You should verify all trades with a sythe DM

 

It was recommended to have a more recognizable tag to prevent this exact thing. instead of having random numbers.

 

The guy even joined my server and created a ticket, he could have very easily verified who I was.

 

I didn't know that it was a requirement to join a discord to trade; i'm sorry. If you were aware that there were people impostering you, it would have been nice to see you report their UID; like you did here: Scammer impersonating other members

I will refund, but there was plenty of chances to verify that I was not the person pming him. I don't understand why he would create a ticket, then go into dms with some random dude who doesn't even have my pfp and give him money.
