Not sure If we've got too many baseball fans here on sythe.

Any who, Does anyone have predictions for the upcoming World Series or other MLB events going on?

In the NL I'm impressed with the Pirates, Braves, and Dodgers. The pirates are pulling together an unbelievable year, however this is the time of year they tend to fall apart and fall out of the playoff brackets. The Braves look untouchable in their division. The Dodgers have a great lineup and pitching staff, led by Cy Young candidate Clayton Kershaw.

Favorite for the NL? The Dodgers. I assume the Pirates will fall apart soon, their roster is quite unexperianced. The Braves have a great chance, but I don't see them getting through Kershaw or the line-up of talented individuals with experience like Crawford.

In the AL I'm a bit less impressed. The Al East looks tough, any team can end up winning the division but I doubt any of them can make the World Series. It's a shame, I'm a Yankees fan :(... In the Central, You've got a real tight race between Tigers, Indians, and the Royals. All of the teams have had hot streaks and the race is a good one, but I think the Tigers have it. Especially with Miguel Cabrera coming back :p In the West It's only a competition between the A's and the Rangers. The Rangers have the powerhouse team, but the A's are sticking around. I actually got time to play some 2k13 with the A's, Griffin has a wicked curveball ...

Any thoughts? I've got my favorite to winning the World Series at the Detroit Tigers, with the Dodgers in a close second.

    TL;DR: Hmm baseball?

How are you not as impressed with the American League? The Athletics, Rangers, Tigers, Red Sox, and Rays are all amazing.

I like an Athletics-Cardinals World Series.

    A's,Rangers,Tigers yes.

Red Sox and Rays... I'm just not impressed :/ Great records, but the talent isn't producing in Tampa. and Boston has had a few coaching issues. They are still contenders, I just think the NL is better.

I don't disagree, but I think viewing it from just a season standpoint of this year, I'm actually more impressed with the AL. Scherzer is a ridiculous 16-1 for Detroit, the Red Sox have overcome a lot of adversity and guys like Victorino have really stepped up, and the Rays and Athletics have super small payrolls but great records.

And today Nelson Cruz was suspended for 50 games..that's a huge blow to the Rangers, especially in the division race.

The Pirates usually always start out strong, or have the past few years..they need to keep it up til the end this time for me to buy the hype. The Cardinals though are my favorites to win it all...and I can't believe the Giants are in dead ass last place!!

Hahaha the Giants :p They might be competing with the Astros and the Marlins for last soon. I've always been a big fan of the Cardinals. Their play style is traditional and they always compete, every year they go for the title. I'm just hoping they can win it all one of these years :p I believe I chose the NL to be better overall, but I still chose an AL team to win it all :p It's a weird sport.

Ah but you can't beat October baseball my friend :). And yeah I hear ya, well the Cardinals have managed to get a couple in the past decade. I was shocked they lost to the Giants last year after going up 3-1 in the series. I think they'll go back to the World Series again. They are just so technically sound and clutch.

I actually played a few practices with Tony Cruz, the new catcher for the Cardinals. Glad to see he's getting his chance. I'd talk about their roster but http://mlb.mlb.com/team/depth_chart/index.jsp?c_id=stl it talks for itself. Such a sound line up and team :p no doubt, they will compete this year and find themselves in the playoffs. It's just a matter if they can beat the Dodgers...

Tough series for Cleveland, I don't see them beating Detroit ever at this rate.
Any opinions on the bio genesis scandal?

Pretty crazy about the scandal. I'm shocked the Rangers are about to take 1st without Cruz. Athletics need to get their shit together.

I knew the A's would blow it, but I'm just surprised at how well the Rangers are doing too. However, if you look at their team without cruz... They're still pretty goddamned scary. They've got Aces in the rotation and a well rounded defence. I'm a huge fan of Ian Kinsler, he's usually one of my first picks in the Fantasy Drafts :p

Who do you think will win out the AL east? I think the Red Sox look hard to beat, but the Rays are always fierce competition. I personally took up Wil Myers stance :p Funny, it's a power stance, but I'm a contact/speed guy.

Typical Yankees fan leaving out the Redsox. Redsox are going all the way, no doubt.

I won't disagree, they look good. I'm just a typical yankees fan :3 And I think somewhere along the lines in my posts I referred to the Red Sox. They have a great team, I just can't imagine them or their bullpen taking them deep into the playoffs.

It'll be tough world series between them and the Marlins.

Yankees are on a surge lately, ever since arod got plunked. The dodgers are the best in baseball by far though. My world series is boston vs pittsburgh/dodgers
