Tips on how to not get an account locked?

Hey guys, well I tend to buy a lot of accounts, and I find that a lot of them get locked for no reason at all. I do usually wait 48 hours after buying it to change the e-mail, then another 48 hours for the recoveries and so on, but in the end it still ends up getting locked. So do you guys have any anti-lock tips?

I'd say don't buy account tbh...It's basically just a matter of time until the seller recovers them...and its pretty hard to prove that an account was recovered and get the person banned....I've bought maybe 2 accounts, both recovered....I made a topic about it with all the evidence I had and all it got me was an infraction on sythe....

 

It is basically due to different IP's. I have logged into a account in the UK that has been played all its life in USA and it gets locked instantly. But its commonly due to IP's and account information getting changed all at once.

 

The ONLY way I have heard people being able to get around this situation is by having a very good relationship with the account seller. This won't always work, as most people you buy accounts from you most likely won't be keeping in touch with them afterwards. If the account gets locked though, I would try and contact the original owner and getting them to help you unlock it (provide them with any NEW info that you have put on the account). Jagex seems to lock the accounts when there is a sudden switch in IP addresses and so this problem seems to be fairly common.

 

Anti locks are hard when you change IP's for more than a few days...or hours. The only thing I know about this is that if someone requests a recovery of that account from another system it's an auto "red flag."

 

Yeah, I only buy from trusted members who are original owners and whom I have good contact with. So I mean, getting it locked isn't anything drastic but it's just a giant pain in the ass. Some accounts that I buy get locked like 2 weeks after I buy them. I've had an account locked twice before, so do you guys think that after a certain amount of time the account is less prone to becoming locked? Or have you ever had an account become locked after like a year of play?

 

I would imagine that as time goes on, the account would become much less likely to be locked, and the new IP address would be associated with the account.

Who really knows =| But after the account is locked, immediately recovered, then the new IP continues to play on that account from then on, it seems less like the account was hacked and more like that person either gave their account away or they are playing from a new computer/house etc. It sounds like a pain in the ass but I guess thats just one of the unfortunate parts about buying an account from somebody else.
