    Genetically engineered food?

What's everyone's stance on GE food? Some say GE food can help the world with higher crop yields and plants that can grow in tougher conditions. Others see it as a dangerous thing and say we should only eat ecological food.

    What's your opinion?

    Genetically engineered food?

As long as it doesn't affect my health in any way I see no problem in it.

    Genetically engineered food?

More food and no down sides? Who could say no?
This reminds me of the Genetically engineering babies thing, which caused a huge fuss. If you can make something better, with NO downsides, what exactly is the problem?

    Genetically engineered food?

If a modified crop could somehow be made not to leave the crop it was planted in, then I would have no objection.

This is for more or less impossible however, and the result is that GM crops will eventually spread to where they are unwanted and become weeds. When they have been engineered to be pesticide-resistant or fast growing this will obviously cause problems.

Food is food. If this scientifically-created doesn't kill me, I'm fine with it.

While it might not kill you, it certainly has the potential to wreak havoc in the natural environment.

    Genetically engineered food?

I agree with previous stated comments. If it's enough to keep me living, and it doesn't effect my health, then I have absolutely no problem with it.

    Genetically engineered food?

Does everybody just think of themselves? Genetically Engineered Food would be insane, all the people who believe it is unsafe would wreck havoc upon it, and all the supporters would return that havoc. It would ruin the environment in 1 day worse than BP has managed to cause in a couple of months. What about Eco-Systems? Would they just be allowed to die about because us big humans can survive so who cares? People need to think of the consequences of what this would cause, which I believe would be Major.

GE food is not the problem, its the possibilities of what you could do with it...
Personally I think that aslong as Natural Farmed food is available, it's what we should eat.

    Genetically engineered food?

We could annihilate a portion of world hunger.

Why should we eat naturally farmed food? What if genetically engineered food was fortified and enriched with more vitamins and minerals than you could ever find within naturally farmed food. If it's easier to produce & healthier for you, how can you turn down such a mesmeric deal?

    Genetically engineered food?

With the current Natural food that we've got at the moment, we could annihilate world hunger.

A few things also from the HGP:

    Genetically engineered food?

The fruits in the market these days are mostly disgusting.. And you can tell they were affected by pesticides. I myself prefer fresh, nutural healthy fruits and vegetables. They taste 100% delicious... Unlike these "clone" fruits.

    We could, but it's unrealistic.

Genetically engineered food makes it more plausible, please answer my question.

    Genetically engineered food?

I think its an interesting and potentially useful idea, though the god-like power of cloning and creating frightens me.
