Image Editing Help and Paypal question

My question is: what are the black and gray squares in an image when I edit it with Gimp? I know what it does I just need help on how to do it and what it's called.

2nd question: is it possible to setup a paypal account with no bank, credit card, debit card, etc? If so, how?

 

Answer to your second question, i do not suggest doing that and would recommend using WU for trades, as if your paypal gets limited, your going to be screwed.
You'll need at least a credit card to send funds in the US.

 

Yes it is. Just set up an account like normal, but make the account located in Australia - it would higher the sending limit of the account.

 

Sending limit is something I don't care about really ^.^. Knowing myself I wouldn't do more than $100 a month. So could I make in in the US?
