    iMac Mini Question

    Hello,

I have asked other users on Skype but want some more feedback before I move forward.

My mom has an iMac Mini just laying around the house. So I asked if I could just have it and she said sure why not.

I have no idea which type it is since there are more upgraded versions and such.

Here are the minimum specs: Processor: 1.4GHz

    1.4GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 (Turbo Boost up to 2.7GHz) with 3MB on-chip shared L3 cache

    Storage: 500GB (5400-rpm) hard drive

    Configurable to 1TB Fusion Drive.

    Memory: 4GB of 1600MHz LPDDR3 memory

    Configurable to 8GB or 16GB.

    Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 5000

I am wondering if I'm able to run LoL on it while say watching some videos or something.

Any advice is great. I don't want to purchase a monitor and have it be a waste.

Again, those are just the minimum so they may have better specs than what I posted.

I doubt you could watch videos ASWELL as play LoL on that shit.

As I posted in Skype chat for you, i'll just show you the min. specs of DoTA 2:

    MINIMUM:
    OS: Windows 7
Processor: Dual core from Intel or AMD at 2.8 GHz
    Memory: 4 GB RAM
    Graphics: nVidia GeForce 8600/9600GT, ATI/AMD Radeon HD2600/3600
    DirectX: Version 9.0c
    Network: Broadband Internet connection
Hard Drive: 8 GB available space
    Sound Card: DirectX Compatible

Now league will obviously be pretty similar, so people with more knowledge than me can base their ideas off that :)

I'm not quite sure on what specs it has. Those are the lowest specs an iMac has so there is a possibility it's higher.

You should be able to play LoL but I wouldn't count on watching videos at the same time! :)

That machine can run runescape, if it's compatible. That's about it. If you wanna game(or do anything well in general) you should go PC. Gaming on a mac is like telling a bad joke. Oh wait, that's the same thing. While a free computer is a free computer, I suggest you sell it since you'll get some nice change for it, then build something worth owning.

That's what I would say too. You're gonna have some frustration playing LoL, wouldn't be able to play videos at the same time, I believe.

You can look on it for a model number and then look up the specs. As stated, Macs aren't made for gaming. I'm sure it had some value to somebody, but I wouldn't waste my time with it.
