I'm trying to get a general view on the reality of botting nowdays

As of right now, you should be safe as long as you bot smart and avoid places Jagex has implemented the bot watch (LRC, DG) and don't bot insane numbers of hours. Also, if you are found botting by a maxed player and your rsn is put on the 'name and shame thread' on the Hlf, you will FOR SURE be banned.

High Level Forums - A private section of the RS Official forums that can only be accessed by players with AT LEAST 99 in every skill. There is a 'Name & Shame' thread where HLF users will post the usernames of accounts they believe to be botters. Jagex often manually inspects these usernames, and bans those with enough evidence. There are bots that surpass this as long as the guidelines are followed for this specific bot.

 

oh wow i didn't know this. Thanks for the info! To be fair if i was a non-botter i'd love this, but instead i hate it.

 

Do not bot constantly (24/7) change the skill every once in a while and you should be good to go.

 

Uhm pratically you can not post other usernames in Runescape forum, its again their rules there ?
