seasonal design

so i am designing all of the packing an sutche for foot locker for the season of summer. so i have just got the hang tag done and i just wanted to get some other opinions on it befor i design the rest of the package's. (NOTE : i still have to vectorise everything this is just a quick mockup in photoshop.)
yes i know that the tree is pixelated and the waves don't match.

Would be better if the vertical letters going down actually was a word, referring to Scool. Also, there is too much negative space at the bottom.

 

Looks like it's just supposed to be cool ala stay cool. Definitely get what you are saying though, the distinction isn't really there asides from the different typeface. Also cool looks way too spaced out when compared to stay - how you deal/if you deal with this will be interesting. The negative space at the bottom is a bit too much for me also and finally I think you should reconsider the colour of the text Footlocker. You've got quite tropical colours going on with the blue and orange/yellow, the pastel red colour that you've chosen seems out of place.

Maybe add some more details to the buildings in the back, though, not too much as it would draw attention to something irrelevant. Of course you should fix the tree, And maybe make the waves a bit lighter. I'm not a big fan of the ST effect on the header.

Other then that , I really like the orange background. Good job on that And I think the background fading to black with the footlocker logo is nice too!
